It's disgusting how they claim to be such wonderful "patriots" and look how they treat our veterans. Our veterans deserve all the benefits they're getting now and then some. Wonder how many "escaped" the draft when we were involved in Vietnam. Never fought for for our rights and now they're taking them away one by one. (I don't mean to exclude those who served our country in other wars--they deserve all their benefits, but I remember vividly that so many "privileged" ones who didn't altogether--specifically in Vietnam. I grew up in the 60's.)
I've had 2 husbands in my life. And they both got their doctors to say they had bone spurs in their feet so they didn't have to go. Found out after the fact. But I had a good friend who got run over by a tank in training. Lost both of his legs. He was such a sweet 18 year old. He had to go home to live with his parents. We lost contact.
I want the files released but I was thinking...the House passes it then comes the Senate...it will take 13 Republicans siding with Dems to pass it there...which may be possible. But then the bill goes to his desk for signature or veto. We all know what will happen if a miracle happens and it gets there he will veto it. We aren't gonna get the files period.
I'm hoping for a leak some whistleblower gets fed up and just dumps the whole damn thing and puts it all out there. That seems to be the only way it is gonna happen.
Where do I start? First. I'm 77 years old. I went to a Neurologist Tuesday. I did the cognitive test(I was told I did extremely well). But my memory isn't like it used to be, which was almost total recall. There are other things. But I'm not falling asleep in the middle of very important meetings. I'm not slurring my words. I'm not having trouble keeping up with a train of thought, especially with a list in front of me. I'm having to get an MRI and an EEG and labs. For his majesty, that could have been done in 3 hours. For me 3 different appointments. And because I have to use a city transportation called Handi Tran, I have to schedule the tests 2 weeks out to guarantee I'll have the times close. And still I end up waiting 30 minutes for pickup each way(or more if my appointment doesn't run as long as scheduled). I'm not complaining about that. I have my phone and it's time that I watch your programs and others. And I have copays. Because I have an Advantage plan, I get to have the care I need. That being said- how much longer do we have to put up with the God awful person in our lives? I'm sick of seeing that ugly mug of his. I want the Epstein victims to finally have a little peace. It won't ever go away. I know this because it happened to me with a trusted family member. I won't go into what punishment I think trump deserves. But it's not a pretty sight. Trump's whole cabinet is not at all qualified for their positions except to be able to say "Yes, sir." Take them all down and start all over again. Make sure that they have the qualifications needed to run a nation as a democracy. That's not all I have to say. But that's enough to start. Thank you for your time.

I’m not as optimistic as you, David, that these files will change anything.
Once evangelicals laid their hands on Trump and convinced themselves that he had been redeemed, all of his past sins were forgiven.
So anyone who believes that the Epstein files will turn them against Trump simply doesn’t understand the loyalty and even reverence that he’s garnered in the evangelical community.
When we combine the evangelical voting block with the anti-immigration voters, the cryptocurrency community & tech bros, the misogynists, the 2nd Amendment gun folks, and the racists we are still fighting an uphill battle. He will not resign and Congress will not impeach him. So let’s move on to what we can and must accomplish before midterms.
Start by researching candidates in our own district. Find the good ones and give them our money and time. Then consider supporting candidates in other districts that are crucial to regaining the Senate and House. Look for candidates that have a plan and articulate it well. Being against Trump is not enough. Our focus must be on what most Americans are actually concerned about. Inflation, health care costs, soaring insurance rates, higher electric bills, lack of affordable housing, barriers to home ownership, unaffordable day care, student debt, vanishing jobs, lack of long term health care. These are issues that all Americans care about, regardless of party, gender or race. Right now, this is where we must stay laser focused.
In the meantime the Epstein news will play out while we work to secure the next election. If it plays out in a way that actually harms Trump, consider that a bonus, but, we can’t count on it.
I understand what you are saying but David and others say we can't convert the Zombies..... BUT I'm hoping that he vast majority of swing voters will like at this pedophile and be horrified. Can't change the crazies but perhaps alarm that vast amount of people who have stayed home in the past. LET'S HOPE.
Exactly, you only have to talk to them a few minutes to figure out the elevator doesn't go all the way to the top, and you just know you can't fix their elevator. Scary stuff...

Thank you for your service. But that sounds trite. Thank you for risking your life and for saving others’. My son was a nurse in the AIr Force stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was one of the ones hanging over the 2nd floor rails, welcoming the freed prisoners home.
It is an honor to serve my American People, like you bjd19, and there's nothing trite about that. I have been to Wiesbaden many times, usually on my way to some place else, "just passing through," as the saying goes.
