Who is held to a higher standard than members of Congress, the White House, the courts, the billionaire class and the corporate criminals who are served by our government? The answer is, EVERYBODY ELSE.
Members of the federal courts, the White House and Congress are not even drug test and these are the most powerful people on the planet. Shouldn’t they be held to the highest standards.

It is important here to emphasize the fact that no human system, no matter how efficient is it, can avoid being exploited by corrupt people if the population tend to be ignorant, uneducated and religiously bigots. America suffers this religious cancer and because of it we are suffering today.
I agree with it mostly but I think it’s possible to make it so even bad people will do good things if it’s in their best interest. If the depraved Republicans in Congress knew there would be consequences for their treason and bribe taking, they wouldn’t do it. But with that said, it is the Christmas season And Jesus is the reason for the season and he’s a godly republican. 😆🤪
I do respect your feelings but I can say that through my experience I have discovered that a person without a faith tends to be more capable of rational thinking. Hitler used to say that providence was the reason he was successful, something that only an irrational being could believe. Happy holidays and I wish you a happy new year!
I think faith for the most part is belief in something that deep down you know damn well is bullshit. I think it differs from being spiritual. The whole God debate sometimes seems like a waste of time. I don’t know if there is isn’t a God But I do know that If there is a God and he is like the one in the Bible and the Quran He cannot be anything but evil.
I have been learning about the gnostic gospels. They paint a very different and dismal picture of what they say God is. Even as a child of seven or eight years old, I always thought God is evil. I hated God and if it exists I still hate God and I would like to destroy God Even if it is only in the hearts and minds of The faithful.
I think that the concept of God itself tells us that if such a being exists, he/she should be indifferent whether people know that deity or not. Therefore no efforts needed to know that assumed being

It has always been an insult when the rich downplay the cost of living for the rest of us. They benefit from inflation especially the stock market. So what's our problem? If they can afford it, must be okay for the peons.
What would they do when they call 911 and no one comes because the cost of living is too high for 1st reponders. What would they do if there were no food stores because the cost of living was too high for the clerks. What would they do if the local hospital were closed because they do not believe in healthcare for the workers?
