Today is Monday, October 6, 2025, and this is your news and preview of today’s show.

Reports from across the country show significant unrest as immigration enforcement actions escalate. In Chicago, videos capture Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers attempting to detain individuals in Brighton Park and at 63rd and Kostner Avenue, only to be confronted by crowds, forcing agents to retreat. A separate incident in Los Angeles shows four officers tackling a woman outside an ICE facility.

Over the weekend, Donald Trump authorized National Guard deployments into Oregon and Illinois against the objections of state governors, actions that likely violate the Posse Comitatus Act, which limits federal military involvement in domestic law enforcement. In Portland, a federal judge issued an emergency order blocking the federalization of the Oregon National Guard, and officials in both states are preparing legal challenges.

In addition, the Department of Homeland Security issued a recruitment message on X that read, “Love God. Save America,” a clear violation of the Separation of Church and State.

Trump delivered a speech to Navy servicemembers in Norfolk, Virginia, in which he claimed he had warned the United States about Osama bin Laden a year before 9/11 and sought credit for those warnings. The CIA had been actively tracking bin Laden since the late 1980s.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was denied access to a restroom while visiting an Illinois municipal building, reflecting local officials’ frustration over ICE operations being carried out against the wishes of state governors.

Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny caused a stir during his appearance on Saturday Night Live, speaking in Spanish and jokingly telling viewers they have four months to learn the language ahead of his Super Bowl halftime performance, triggering right-wing commentators.

Finally, Representative Maxwell Frost, Democrat from Florida and the first Gen Z member of Congress, joins us to discuss the government shutdown, Trump’s immigration policy, tariffs, and much more.

On the Bonus Show today:

The Supreme Court takes up cases testing Trump’s presidential power.

The Saudi comedy festival sparks controversy with many American comics participating.

And a petition to cut congressional pay during shutdowns gains traction.
