Today is Monday July 21st, 2025, and this is your news and preview of today's show.

The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump is experiencing chronic venous insufficiency—a condition that causes blood to pool in the legs and can lead to swelling. This announcement follows weeks of public speculation after images circulated showing Trump with swollen ankles and bruised hands. Officials say the bruising is due to daily aspirin use and frequent handshakes, though they have not directly linked it to the leg condition.

Model Stacey Williams has publicly accused Donald Trump of groping her in 1993 in the presence of Jeffrey Epstein. Williams, who had a relationship with Epstein, described Trump and Epstein as close and said they were “up to no good.” Trump has denied previous allegations connected to Epstein.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released a report accusing former President Barack Obama and other senior officials of engaging in a “treasonous conspiracy” in 2016 to undermine Trump’s campaign and transition. The claims contradict long-standing intelligence findings and have been criticized as politically motivated. Democratic Representative Jim Himes called the accusations false and said no judge would take them seriously.

Over the weekend, Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social that depicts Barack Obama being arrested and imprisoned. The video features Obama in an orange jumpsuit. The post comes amid renewed claims from Trump and Gabbard of a 2016 conspiracy, which intelligence officials and Democratic lawmakers have dismissed as baseless.

CBS has canceled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert just days after the host criticized recent settlements involving Trump and major media networks. Colbert’s show, which reportedly ran over $100 million per season and operated at a loss, was pulled by the network without attempts to scale back or renegotiate. The timing has raised questions about legal pressure and political influence in entertainment media.

Also on today’s show: Amanda Knox—exoneree, journalist, author, and podcaster—joins me to talk about spending nearly four years in an Italian prison for a murder she did not commit. She reflects on the experience, how it shaped her life, and the challenges of rebuilding her identity in the public eye.

And in today’s bonus show:

The CEO of data platform Astronomer has resigned following backlash from a viral Coldplay concert kiss cam incident.

California Governor Gavin Newsom is threatening to redraw the state’s congressional maps in response to redistricting efforts in Texas.

And Representative Jim Jordan may be deposed in connection to the Ohio State University sex abuse investigation.
