Fox Reporter Humiliated by Jen Psaki Over Basic Facts
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy went after White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki yet again, this time on the topic of gas prices and the Keystone XL Pipeline. Conservative media has been blaming Joe Biden for high gas prices because he canceled the pipeline’s construction, making the US no longer energy independent. Doocy asked Psaki, “is a restart of the Keystone XL construction completely off the table as long as Joe Biden is president?” Psaki retorted, “if we’re trying to bring about supply, that does not address any problem. . . . We’re already getting that oil, Peter. The pipeline is just a delivery mechanism, it is not an oil field so it does provide more supply into the system.” Furthermore, the first three phases of Keystone XL have already been constructed, and all the talk from the right is just about an extra addition, known as phase four. Even if this did boost oil supply (which it wouldn’t) the construction would take years to complete and would not address the crunch that Americans are in right now, paying more for gas at the pump.
Trump Sets New Record for Lies Per Second in New Interview
Donald Trump sat down for an interview with RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on her podcast Real America, the former president may have set a record for lies in a twelve-second time period with a total of four. He said about COVID, “we had a 1917 — 100 million people died, I think we would have had the same thing. So we did something that was incredible. We did it in less than nine months and it was supposed to take anywhere from five to twelve years.” The first lie or misstatement is that the 1918 flu took place in 1917, which he’s been saying for two years now and doesn’t bother to correct. The second lie is that if it weren’t for the vaccines, 100 million people would have died from COVID, when no serious estimate predicted that. The third is that he was the one who made the vaccines get developed, when the entire world was focused on developing them to end the pandemic. And the fourth lie is that it would have taken five to twelve years to develop the vaccine, which is not at all the timeline for mRNA technology. Trump is an expert at spreading disinformation, but even this example was impressive for how much he was able to lie in such a short window of time.

Joe Biden Vows Russia Will Never Take Ukraine
President Biden spoke to the nation earlier this week about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Biden announced that new sanctions will be placed against Russia and the US will no longer allow the importation of Russian oil and gas. Biden said this move will “mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use fossil fuels as weapons against other nations. And it will make America a world leader manufacturing and exporting clean energy technology of the future to countries all around the world.” In a sense predicting the outcome of the war, Biden went on to say, “this much is already clear: Ukraine will never be a victory for Putin.” Without NATO and American troops going to fight in the conflict, it’s impossible to guarantee that Russia won’t win the war, but perhaps the president meant the spirit of the Ukrainian people will live on regardless of what happens.
From yesterday’s show:
Ted Cruz Says Pilots & Flight Attendants Hug Him for Protesting Vaccines
Ted Cruz has gone viral for going on a rant about how pilots and flight attendants supposedly hug him anytime he gets on a plane for all the work he’s done to get rid of vaccine mandates. The Texas senator met with the Trucker Convoy and defiantly said, “every week I fly back and forth to Houston. Almost without exception, every time I’m on an airplane, either the captain or a flight attendant will come up to me, will hug me and say, ‘thank you for fighting for us.’” This story is quite possibly a lie, as it involves people being willing to make physical contact with Ted Cruz. But even if it were true, they would just be praising the senator for allowing them to get sick and spread disease among the passengers they’re supposed to be servicing.
