Another Republican "whistleblower" SILENCED by simple questions
IRS “whistleblower” Gary Shapley appeared for an interview on Fox News, where he alleged Joe Biden had involvement in influence peddling through his son Hunter. However, Shapley struggled to provide concrete evidence when pressed on the matter, emphasizing the challenges in substantiating the claims against the supposed “Biden crime family.” The appropriateness of labeling individuals like Shapley as whistleblowers should be questioned, given the absence of clear exposure to illegal or unethical behavior. Some right-wingers, like Shapley, are treating the allegations and the initiation of an impeachment inquiry as evidence without presenting the necessary concrete proof.
Check out these disgusting hypocrites
Republicans have changed their opinion about a single-party impeachment inquiry from four years ago when they opposed such proceedings. House Speaker “MAGA Mike” Johnson, when speaking about one of Trump’s impeachments, acknowledged the founding fathers' warning against single-party impeachments due to their potential for divisiveness. Congressman Matt Gaetz who previously argued against impeachments under Trump now supports a similar inquiry into Biden. Gaetz criticized Democrats for lacking bipartisanship, direct evidence, and enhanced public support for impeachment, expressing disappointment in their failure to meet their own standards. This incident highlights how Republicans don’t stand on principle and raise questions about their commitment to evidence-based decision-making in the current impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
From yesterday’s show:
THEY'RE DOING IT: House approved Joe Biden impeachment inquiry (still no evidence)
In a party-line vote, House Republicans have officially launched an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. The process involves an initial inquiry, a subsequent House impeachment vote, and a Senate trial where senators decide on conviction or acquittal. Despite a lack of evidence for criminality or high crimes and misdemeanors, Republicans are resolute in their determination to impeach Biden, claiming they will uncover the evidence during a formal investigation. The GOP will face a challenge in quantifying an offense, with the inquiry justified as essential for ongoing investigations and to preempt potential legal challenges from the White House. However, the approach is criticized by some Republicans, like Mitt Romney, who argue for presenting evidence before initiating an inquiry. Democrats are rightfully calling the move as a political stunt and a way to get revenge for the two Trump impeachments.
From yesterday’s show:
Hunter Biden shows up, DARES MAGA to let him testify in public
Hunter Biden spoke to reporters outside of the Capitol building at the time he was supposed to testify privately before the House Oversight Committee. Hunter said he was willing to testify publicly, as was initially offered to him but doesn’t want to do so behind closed doors. Despite Hunter's lack of involvement in the Biden administration and no proven links to the allegations against his father, he publicly defended his family against what he deemed as distorted investigations fueled by the "MAGA right." Hunter acknowledged personal mistakes and expressed accountability while refuting claims that Joe Biden was financially connected to his business dealings, emphasizing that the attacks were orchestrated to embarrass and damage his father. Hunter's public statement, challenging the GOP's closed-door investigations, triggered strong reactions from Republicans, who have long targeted him in their political narratives. Despite Hunter's offer to testify publicly, the Republican response suggests a reluctance to expose their claims to public scrutiny, raising questions about the motives behind the impeachment inquiry and the intense focus on Hunter Biden.

Re Santa: when I was raising kids I did teach them to question authority. So when one of them questioned the mall Santa about his reality, the Santa asked him a few questions: How do you feel when you give a gift? How do you feel when you receive a gift? My kid answered something like "good, good." So Santa said something like 'don't think of me as Santa, think of me as a symbol of what's good about giving and receiving.' (This is an abbreviated story, but the real story brings me near tears.)
