Trump-Endorsed Republican Denies Evolution: "Why Are There Still Apes?"
Former NFL running back Herschel Walker is running as a Trump-endorsed Republican for a US Senate seat in Georgia. He made headlines this week for all the wrong reasons. Walker attempted to disprove the theory of evolution by asking why there are still apes if people supposedly evolved from apes. He said, “at one time science said man came from apes. Did it not? . . . If that is true, why are there still apes? Think about it.” Walker then gave a pause as if he had just asked something profound. Of course, the answer is that modern humans and modern apes derived from a common ape ancestor. This wouldn’t be a crazy thing for a kid in the third grade learning about evolution for the first time to ask. But Walker is attempting to become one of only one hundred people in America who get to serve in the United States Senate, and this is the level of intelligence we’re dealing with.
UH-OH: There's Video of Trump Riot Planning Meeting
In recent weeks, we have learned about a secret meeting between Proud Boys and Oath Keepers leaders to plan the events of January 6, 2021, and now we’re finding out that the meeting was recorded by a documentary film crew. The meeting included Stewart Rhodes and Enrique Tarrio, who head the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys organizations, respectively. Tarrio had recently been released from jail at the time of the meeting related to charges for burning a stolen Black Lives Matter flag. According to federal prosecutors, on January 5th, “Tarrio used the phones of associates to make a number of phone calls, and to log back into his encrypted messaging accounts. After having regained access to his accounts, Tarrio assured his men that his phone had not been compromised.” The report reveals more details about the lead-up to the attacks that were previously unknown. Both Rhodes and Tarrio have been charged for their alleged roles in the attacks — Rhodes for seditious conspiracy and Tarrio for conspiracy to obstruct Congress.

LOL: Tulsi Gabbard Believes People Cares What She Thinks
Former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard got into a Twitter spat with Utah Senator Mitt Romney over the weekend about Ukrainian biolabs. Gabbard has been making the case recently that the Russian invasion of Ukraine needs to stop until these biolabs can be secured so that pathogens don’t get released potentially causing another global pandemic. These biolabs can be found all over the world and Tulsi is repeating Russian propaganda by fearmongering about them and making them sound unique to Ukraine. Senator Romney pointed this out in a tweet, saying, “Tulsi Gabbard is parroting false Russian propaganda. Her treasonous lies may well cost lives.” Gabbard followed up by saying in part, “please provide evidence that what I said is untrue and treasonous. If you cannot, you should do the honorable thing: apologize and resign from the Senate.” Surely Romney, like so many others, won’t be taking the demands of Tulsi Gabbard seriously.

Madison Cawthorn Wrongly Quotes Bible, Slams Ukraine
Radical Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn spoke about the Russian invasion of Ukraine at an event recently and made the case that the situation is too confusing for people to understand while simultaneously arguing that Ukraine cannot be trusted. One man asked Cawthorn if he could make sense of the invasion, and the congressman responded, “we have to realize the Ukrainian government is so well-known for corruption. It’s one of the major sex trafficking hubs of the entire world, that area . . . This is not a country that I feel like is the shining beacon of what really truly is the standard of good and clean and transparent government.” Of course, what Cawthorn left out is that Russia ranks far lower than Ukraine when it comes to freedom and democracy and that Russia also has a huge problem with corruption and sex trafficking. Moreover, this argument doesn’t make a whole lot of sense when it’s Ukraine that’s being invaded and when its civilian population is being targeted.
