Paranoid Trump Meets with Lawyers on Golf Course
There is some explanation now for Donald Trump’s recent surprise visit to the DC area, and it appears that he made the trip to meet with lawyers on his golf course. A video of Trump on the course was shot at a distance and showed the former president and his entourage riding around on golf carts. Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen tweeted: “Many are asking me why Mr. Mushroom Putter was at his DC Golf Course (which is really in Virginia)? He says to play golf. My sources say he was meeting with 2 lawyers in secrecy and didn’t trust being at their offices. Notice there are no golf clubs on the cart!!!” It’s now becoming clear that Trump made the trip to DC not because an indictment against him was imminent, but it still seems very much related to the investigation and suggests the ex-president is extremely paranoid about the consequences he could be facing.
Jared Kushner CRUMBLES When Asked About Trump Documents
Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, did an interview with Sky News recently and crumbled when faced with questions about Trump’s Mar-a-Lago documents scandal. Kushner first tried to excuse Trump’s actions by saying, “he was under constant attack.” Then he tried to write off the debacle as a “paperwork issue.” When it was pointed out to Jared that many of the documents had “secret” and “top secret” designations, he responded, “I’ve seen a lot of allegations made by the media over my four years that turned out not to be true.” This fell apart, however, since it’s not just the media saying the documents were highly confidential, it’s also the FBI. Kushner kept trying to do damage control, saying the interviewer would have to ask Trump these questions instead, and promoting his book at every opportunity. Clearly, what Trump is accused of doing is indefensible and this really does seem to be an open and shut case.
From yesterday’s show:
OH NO: Did Trump Move Mar-a-Lago Docs to Another Golf Club?
It’s widely speculated that Donald Trump likely moved some of the documents that the FBI wanted to a different golf club ahead of the search of Mar-a-Lago. Former FBI agent Peter Strzok, for example, tweeted “Better check Bedminster . . . On May 9, Trump gets on a private plane from Palm Beach to Bedminster. On video, several boxes are seen loaded onto the plane.” The boxes pictured being transported were identical to the ones found in the basement of Trump’s Florida home. In addition, John Bolton, Trump’s former national security advisor, said that the former president probably moved documents elsewhere. Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, said the same. Hopefully, the DOJ and FBI are considering executing another search warrant on a Trump property since it looks like there are more government documents and national secrets that are currently in the wrong hands.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump Turns on Bill Barr by Calling Him Fat
Donald Trump bashed William Barr, his former attorney general, by joking about his weight in front of a crowd at his Bedminster golf course. Trump referenced attorney generals “that don’t know how to do their job like William Barr. All he wanted to do was eat.” Barr has been on Trump’s bad side ever since he refused to go along with the voter fraud narrative in the wake of the 2020 election that culminated in the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Barr has also been critical of Trump for the trouble he’s gotten in since leaving office, namely with the Mar-a-Lago documents scandal. Trump would be better served attacking Barr for something other than his weight, since not only is it petty, but the former president also has a large gut himself. It’s not typical for a former president to go after their ex-cabinet members in such a way, but atypical has always been the norm for Donald Trump.
