Trump drops globalist slur, says black prosecutor "racist"
In recent videos posted by former President Donald Trump on Truth Social, Trump employed the term “globalist” while criticizing the World Health Organization's relationship with China and the financial contributions made by the United States. The use of the term "globalist" in this context is considered by many as problematic, as it can be construed as an anti-Semitic code word. Trump also made accusations of racism against New York Attorney General Letitia James without providing any evidence to back up his claim. These instances underscore the need for more responsible and fact-based political discourse, especially given that these remarks come from a former president and someone who could very well become president again. Clips like these show the fearmongering and otherizing tactics used by Trump and demonstrate the need to defeat him once again at the ballot box in 2024.
Jim Jordan loses 1st House Speaker vote BADLY, Trump humiliated
The House of Representatives continues to be without a Speaker as yesterday, Representative Jim Jordan, endorsed by former President Trump, failed to secure the necessary votes to secure a majority. The absence of a speaker for two weeks has led to legislative stagnation, including a delay in addressing President Joe Biden's request for emergency security assistance for Israel. This situation underscores the deep divisions within the Republican Party, with some seeking an alternative to a MAGA Trumpist leader, even though there is no alternative candidate to Jordan at this point. The power of Trump's endorsement is evident but not absolute, as Jim Jordan's defeat in the first round demonstrates. The outcome of the ongoing speaker election, as well as the state of Republican leadership, holds significant implications for the future of American politics and the chaos could result in Democrats taking back the lower chamber following the 2024 election.
From yesterday’s show:
ANOTHER judge gags Trump, Trump IMMEDIATELY attacks her
Former President Donald Trump is facing a partial gag order issued by Judge Chutkan, limiting his ability to publicly target court personnel, potential witnesses, or Special Counsel Jack Smith and his staff in the federal prosecution regarding his alleged 2020 election interference. Trump can still criticize the Justice Department and Washington, DC, but he can't attack individuals involved in the case. Despite this, Trump quickly criticized the gag order in his recent speeches in Iowa, alleging it's unconstitutional and politically motivated without substantial evidence. Some, like Marjorie Taylor Greene, claim this infringes on Trump's First Amendment rights, but legal experts argue that gag orders are used to ensure trial fairness and don't necessarily violate the First Amendment if applied to protect an unbiased jury. The situation will likely undergo further legal scrutiny and Trump says he plans to appeal the order.
From yesterday’s show:
Random 6-year-old Chicago boy murdered for being Muslim
In a tragic and disturbing incident, a six-year-old Muslim boy in Chicago was randomly targeted and fatally stabbed by a man obsessed with the Hamas-Israel conflict, resulting in a hate crime designation. This horrifying act emphasizes the importance of hate crime laws, as it demonstrates that such crimes extend beyond individual victims and are, in essence, attacks on entire communities. The attack on the boy and his mother, solely based on their religious identity and the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict, underscores the broader impact and the terror it inflicts on the Muslim community. This senseless violence serves as a poignant reminder of the devastating consequences of extremist ideologies and radicalization.
