As for the rest of the world, Trump for all his many faults has highlighted that much of the world does not look up to the US. They look at us a one huge pocketbook to be exploited. We have spent trillions trying to buy friends all over the world. We gave Afghanistan the best chance of freedom and look how that turned out. World opinion is highly over-rated. Unfortunately the main driver of world opinion is fear, not love.

This was so apparent when he shrugged off a disparaging remark by Xi Jinping that the U.S. is a “declining nation.” What happened to “America is the greatest nation in the world”? It’s easy for him to say that when you’re at a tRump rally, but he cowers when confronting the real strength of political personalities like Xi, Putin or even Kim Jong Un.. As an American, I am so ashamed of this man as our pResident.
Xi is right, America is in decline. Trump just makes it more obvious and accelerated it. We are NOT living within our means.
By what measure is the USA not in decline? We are sitting on a financial debt bomb. When it finally explodes will set us back decades. Our homeless are everywhere and growing. Mortgages, rent, medical bills, car, student loans and credit card debt is burying us. We are running out of water. Our infrastructure is falling down, cities are old and tired. Inflation may well eat us alive. Am I missing something? Exactly were are the good times?
Imagine Trump at a grocery store -- he wouldn't know what to do or how to operate a shopping cart. Now imagine him at a gas station trying to fill up the gas tank -- if it didn't end in disaster, I would be surprised.
Trump has a terrible inferiority complex. He disguises it by bashing others like Obama and Biden. This is a feeble attempt to make him look bigger than he is. It just reminds most of us, how little he really is. Just because someone talks tough, crude and rude does not make them right. He is an absolute embarrassment to the country. More shame on Republicans for putting up with him. Whatever happened to the home of the brave?
The Chinese do not hold the US in high regard and have always referred to US as the "paper tiger". Well Trump just proved it. Not even sure why he went to China.
