There’s something people need to understand about MAGA. They’re not as stupid as most people give them credit for and they are more morally depraved than most people can imagine. This isn’t an opinion. Just observe their behavior and the stuff that comes out of their mouths. Consider where most of them live, the savage south. Consider the fact that the Bible belt has the highest rate of divorces, teen pregnancy, drug use, obesity, smoking, diabetes, porn use, violent crime, gun deaths, highest maternal mortality, highest infant mortality and highest infection and death rate from Covid because Trump told them not to wear masks. Keep up the good work Bible belt.

FOX hiding this data or not spending time on it is suicide on their part because not all MAGA are as simple minded as FOX think they are...

You are good! I’m glad to I get your emails and I’m glad to see you writing on Substack. To be honest, I don’t have a lot of patience to read, although I enjoy reading. I just have to be in the mood. That does happen a few times a week. And I love data. You’re good at keeping the receipts and you’re interesting and tell the story we need to know.

Still, I love your videos.

Have a great week.

Have hope! 🤜🏽🤛🏻

Trump and his corrupt administration can announce whatever they want to, but smart Americans know beyond a reasonable doubt, that any announcement is going to wrong just to make the administration look good. That's one of the reasons why Trump himself said that he hates smart voters. His firing of the chief statistician that produced job and economic numbers nearly correct in the past distorts the numbers that are now announced to the point that such announced numbers are ridiculous and foolhardy! Anyone who will believe those announcements are deluding themselves!

Agreed. This is why they have been attacking the science, information, and education departments. Broke, uneducated, and distracted people are easier to control.

Bessant, Lutnick, and Trump are living in Airy-Fairy Land, and happily lying to. the public claiming that if we just wait a few months (meaning starve your kids, do without health care, and look for a low paying. gig job because you were fired due to tariffs) and things will be hunky dorey. Well, we got that chicken in every pot routine from Herbert Hoover (another Republican president no less) in 1928 and it took another Democratic president in 1933 to pull us out of that nose-dive economy. These people are just buffoons and charlatans playing three card monty and shell games because they have money and can laugh on the way to the bank while everyone else suffers.

I am reminded of Trump during Covid, actively taking steps to reduce the number of people tested for Covid. He had the same ostrich head in the sand mentality then as well. For Trump it is ALL about perception. The actual misery and deaths resulting from his policies is not even remotely the problem. The number of people directly affected is small enough to not scare him, but the much larger number of people who would care, does scare him.

If Trump wants to slow down illegal immigration he can do it by crashing the economy which is what he’s doing. Immigration increases when the US economy is doing well and when Trump said about 30 years ago that the economy does better under Democrats it was actually telling the truth. Imagine that.

Our ignorant fool of a president either believes his magical thinking or he believes forces arrayed against him cause his self-inflicted catastrophes. Either way this economy is driving through a dark night without headlights. What could go wrong?

The part that really floors me is how losing 32,000 jobs gets treated like it’s a typo instead of a siren. You don’t fire the people who count the jobs unless you already know the count is bad. That’s not economic strategy, that’s hiding your report card in the freezer and hoping God won’t find it.

And this isn’t some cosmic mystery. It’s the same Republican job pattern, just dipped in chaos sauce. They shut down the data like it’s an inconvenient prophecy. But the universe has receipts. You can cancel the report, but you can’t cancel the consequences.

Blessed be the ones who think math stops working if you close your eyes. May they meet the Spirit of Basic Arithmetic and tremble.
