Trump visibly confused in softball interview gone wrong
Donald Trump recently went on Fox News for an interview hosted by Maria Bartiromo, and he managed to screw up what was supposed to be a friendly appearance for him. Trump's response lacked clarity and coherence, as he shifted focus to unrelated topics and failed to provide a direct answer on anything. They spent a lot of time discussing the war in Ukraine. Bartiromo asked Trump if he would stop funding the Ukrainian defense and he said, “I get the war settled. The money is — number one, I tell Europe, you're about $100 billion-plus short, okay? You got to pay because Europe is smiling all the way to the bank. We're giving all of these, this —Europe is doing very little compared to the United States and it affects them more. Look, no matter how you look at it, they're right there. We're an ocean apart. Why are we at 150 billion and they're at 20?” Despite Trump and the Republican Party's stance against supporting Ukraine, it’s likely that if Trump is reelected, he would not cut funding to the country. Trump has no real solutions when it comes to the Russian invasion, and everyone is just supposed to trust the fact that he’d be able to bring an end to the war just by asking both parties to do so.
Ben Shapiro says air conditioning solve global warming
Ben Shapiro went on his talk show recently and made the claim that air conditioning is a solution to global warming. Shapiro said, “Can I point out that there are a lot of headlines right now about how hot it is outside? I know it's hot outside. You know what I can do about that? Zero things. Thank God we have this thing called air conditioning. It's awesome. You know, it's a great cure for being super duper hot outside? Being a first-world country. Amazing. It works out tremendously well.” Of course, air conditioning doesn’t make sense as a solution to climate change as it contributes to the problem by relying on the burning of fossil fuels, thus adding to greenhouse gas emissions and making the problem worse. Air conditioners, while providing localized cooling, transfer heat to the outside, adding to the heat island effect and worsening climate change. Instead, the focus should be on decarbonization and transitioning to cleaner energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. Such a shift not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also creates new job opportunities and economic growth. Ben Shapiro is being both flippant and wrong on this issue and his solution makes as much sense as the time he recommended people whose houses get flooded sell them and buy new ones.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump DOWN, DeSantis DOWN, Vivek Ramaswamy SURGING
The Republican primary race has seen slight fluctuations in support for the key candidates. Both Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis have dropped slightly in the polls, while Vivek Ramaswamy has surged into third place according to the RealClearPolitics average. However, the significance of Ramaswamy's rise is based on a limited number of polls, so it will take another couple of weeks before it can be confirmed. Ramaswamy's surge has been linked to his effective communication skills and strategic criticism of Trump, but the sustainability of his momentum remains uncertain. Another poll indicates that Joe Biden would get more votes than Trump, even if Joe Manchin were to enter the race as a third-party candidate. Additionally, there is speculation about Trump running as an independent candidate if he were to lose the primary, and how that would basically guarantee Biden gets reelected in an electoral college landslide. As the election cycle progresses, ad the debates get underway, further polling data will offer a clearer picture of the candidates' standing and how it could influence the course of the Republican primary and the broader presidential race.
From yesterday’s show:
If Trump runs third party, he DESTROYS Republican Party
There is speculation that Donald Trump will run as a third-party candidate if he fails to win the Republican nomination. Despite recent polling declines, Trump remains a leading contender in the Republican field, with a RealClearPolitics average of 52% support. But there still remains some chance he ends up losing the primary to Ron DeSantis or another Republican contender. A new Ipsos-Reuters poll presents a scenario where Trump runs as an independent alongside Biden and DeSantis, potentially dividing the conservative vote and granting Biden a clear advantage. Most politicians would avoid running third-party if they knew it would hurt the side they most closely agree with politically, but Trump doesn’t have these same considerations and in fact, might do this specifically to prevent whoever beat him in the primary from winning in the general. The potential implications of such a scenario highlight the importance of party unity which is something Republicans don’t have right now in the way that Democrats do.

I see a parallel between the Jan. 6th insurrection and the 9/11 disaster. On 9/11, foreign terrorists invaded our land and caused thousands of deaths and widespread fear. These casualties affected all Americans, mentally and physically. Everybody was horrified that our government was in jeopardy because of lunatics who would take the United States into their own hands. The same can be said about Jan. 6th. Our government was threatened, and people died. We were as shocked about Jan. 6th as we were about 9/11. The fact that domestic terrorists can invade our Capitol is just as terrifying as foreign terrorists invading our air space.
