Add Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and California to the list - we are sick and tired of carrying that worthless bunch. And see how those morons in Iowa and the mid-west like paying tariffs to get through our borders to the shipping ports. Our economies together are bigger than all but 3 GDPs of the world. F**k tRump and his supporters.

Great idea, especially if the West Coast also forms its own country. Leave the red states to stew in their own juices.

I’d have to move.

And Pennsylvania. Yeah, I know it is split between red and blue voters. But we did vote for Biden over Trump in the previous election. And hey, Philadelphia has a harbor and a lot of history. Pittsburgh is a connection to the Ohio River. Please.

Was going to make the same comment. Confused as to why NJ would be excluded. Maybe b/c NJ is less blue than NY, but NY and NJ are too closely tied together economically imo

I love pushing this idea. Make it radical. We can do this. Push it hard and make them defend against it.

I do not want to but at the rate Trump is tearing us apart it could be necessary. For now it is a great bargaining platform.

You get it. Doesnt matter if it happens or not. It's a bargaining chip. Its not like they arent threatening civil war every other damn day anyways. Radical, and I mean truly uncomfortably radical, ideas are EXACTLY what need to be pushed rn. Trump is razing hundreds of years of history for his own opulent ballroom in the presidential manor. In any other place that would be coup material. But nope. This is the BurgerReich where nothing ever happens. Stay safe out there.

You make a good argument for that region, but you gave only a passing mention to California. Currently the fith largest economy in the world, which includes lots of high tech, production and food production, plus some good schools. Just saying, if the US were to 'fall apart' there would be more than one region that would make a successful secession, and their common color code is BLUE.

So unfair to those of us stuck in red states who could never move into this new country.

So many people would want to move there that it would be impossible to fit everyone.

Maybe it would be better to turn red states blue instead of cutting people off from being able to live in a democracy. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes but we NEED to turn these red states blue in November and get rid of the maggots in Congress and the FELON!! Cannot come soon enough!!

This is wonderful - as a thought experiment. I've often wondered what would happen to the country if the states that pay more in taxes than they receive in benefits simply stopped paying in - or pooled their taxes to form their own country. Then I remember my U.S. History teacher saying the 14th amendment won't allow states to secede or even change their borders. I live in Wisconsin. I would move if the country you describe existed!

I'm 62 years old and I never thought I’d see something so bizarre and devastating happening to United States. It’s an embarrassment. It’s disgusting. It’s a nightmare. I’ve had a good life. I do not want to die, but I have had it with this prick and his regime.

Yes I've got 10 yrs on you and I'm actually pretty frightened about our decent into fascism which my father fought against in WWII!! The German people woke up too late to see what was actually going on and believed everything Hitler told them....we have the same issue with the FELON right now! Some still believing whatever he says which are all lies.... SICKENING!!

I've got 6 years on you and feel the same way. So much for having a businessman as president whose main goal is to serve himself at our expense.

Splitting the country apart because of one big bad apple is not the solution. We fought one civil war and that was enough. If we cannot put Humpty Dumpty back together after Trump those 250 years did not teach us much. We survived wars and depressions, a lot worse than Trump. He is his own worst enemy.

You are talking about the constitution. But our current president ignores the constitution. It doesn't exisit. So why should the rest of care about the 14th amendment. We are living in a lawless country right now.

Because he believes he can do anything he wants, and he is getting away with doing exactly that, he actually said that on TV this week personally I’d like to ignore some laws, but I’m not a criminal or a felon. FDT

Those who fought the British during the American Revolution were not criminals, either. They were fighting for their freedom from a king. Lydia is correct. It appears that we no longer have a constitution. He’s banking on everyone to feel defeated so that they don’t even put up any resistance. Don’t give him that power. You have power. We all have power. We need to stick together. Don’t give up before the fight begins.
