YEAH theres just no way a sweet heart of a 6 year old could create this dystopian dimension we seem trapped in. just no. Iwake up every morning and hold my breath, i reach for my phone and click notifications, then a let out '' shit still this one''
Okay....skip the kid's description part. How about just a 40's era comic book villain's takeover of the White House? The players, the dialogue, pretty much everything.
ok, i thought, a bit of fun, but actually.. its too close to the truth..
The Marble House Madness
The White House didn’t look like a government building anymore. It looked like a fortress made out of polished marble and insecurity, columns carved with eagles, flags everywhere, there was gold leafed temu products in every room and storm clouds that seemed to stay overhead regardless of the forecast. The city around it moved like it was holding its breath.
Inside, The Boss sat in a gilded chair that looked like something from a casino that won an auction for a fallen empire. He wore medals that had never been earned and a cape that didn’t have a reason to exist. His cat had died but at least it died from gold plating and is still gold. He spoke loudly, though no one had asked him to speak.
“We are winning. Everyone is saying so. So why is everything on fire?”
No one answered. The aides had learned to nod in slow motion. They whispered to each other when he wasn’t looking.
“He thinks statecraft is a brand of butter,” one muttered.
The door opened and The Apprentice entered, slick hair, polished shoes, fresh eyeliner, expression set to serious because that’s what TV politicians look like. He carried briefing folders he did not understand.
“Sir, the other leaders are waiting for negotiations.”
“Perfect,” The Boss said. “I’ll threaten them. whats the word i wrote on the back of my hand, ah yes, tarife. no, ah, tarif, i have cousin called tarif, right....They respect strength.”
The negotiation chamber was a long room with a world map table in the center. On the table were carved figurines representing the others:
The General (Xi Jinping, 13 years) carved from black marble, expression unreadable.
The Strategist (Vladimir Putin, 26 years) carved from pale jade, posture controlled.
The Janissary (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 22 years) carved in bronze, eyes narrowed.
The Calculator (Narendra Modi, 11 years) carved from redwood, hands folded.
And the Boss yes golden shiny 4 n bit years of letting everyone now how great he is, no really, really great.
These were men who had run continents, bureaucracies, security services, and federations.
They understood institutions, leverage, continuity, and time.
The Boss kicked the door open.
“We’re going to make a deal. I shout, you fold. Easy!”
The four men looked at each other, not offended and not amused, just patient.
They were watching someone who had mistaken a throne for a steering wheel.
The Strategist nodded once.
“Please. Explain your terms.”
The Boss began waving maps upside down, pointing at coastlines, insisting oceans were property.
“And then America gets ALL the oceans! The whole wet part!”
The General quietly removed his translation earpiece.
He already understood everything necessary.
Back in the Oval Office later, The Boss slammed his fist into the desk.
“They didn’t fold!”
The Apprentice hesitated.
“Maybe because they have… systems. Bureaucracies. Strategy. Decades of experience.”
“Nonsense. They tricked me. We retaliate.”
He opened a panel and pressed a large red button labeled: DOMESTIC CONSEQUENCES.
Across the country, the effects unfolded without speeches:
SNAP payments froze.
Border patrol staged pointless raids.
Teachers left mid-lesson.
Hospitals dimmed their lights to save money.
Food prices rose.
Construction stopped.
Lines formed. Everywhere.
No one used the word punishment.
No one needed to.
People watched foreign news on cracked phone screens.
The General, The Strategist, The Janissary and The Calculator toasted quietly over tea, vodka, and silence.
One viewer asked,
“Did we just get punished because he embarrassed himself in a meeting?”
Another replied,
“Looks like it.”
Inside the marble fortress, The Boss sat alone in the golden chair.
The Apprentice had stopped bringing folders.
The aides had stopped pretending to whisper.
The room was quiet now.
“Why won’t they respect me?” he asked his once responsive cat.
Every single tax "break" has been paid on the backs of the poor and middle class ever since reagan. The only successful people in this republicanised america are the rich, especially the white rich.
I am sorry you are feeling depressed today, but it is NOT "too late".
Yes, damage has been done, but most people do not read much or study politics as much as we do, so they have to FEEL it, they have to experience the PAIN and only then to they vote for change. problem is they have been feeling pain, for decades, and Biden / Harris only promised more of the same and they demanded CHANGE, so they voted for the lying criminal, because at least he promised some of what they needed.
Trump will bring the PAIN they need to experience to get out of the mindset that 'both sides are the same'. Democrats need to get out of the mindset of "Defend the status quo" because Trump has already broken the status quo and it is time to build something better on the ashes of his presidency. We as a nation are overdue for major changes. We can no longer be focused on the appearance of 'bipartisanship' because Republicans have proven themselves lairs, cowards and in general, people who do not argue 'in good faith'. We need to embrace positions that are populist in nature, that will lift everyone up. We need to invest in not just our infrastructure, but also our people, including the immigrants we still have, and open our doors more. We need to be unafraid to invite immigrants because even when we policed the borders better than Republicans (even Trump) they STILL accused us of having "Open Borders", so ignore their complaints, their fear mongering, embrace real change and real hope. Tax the rich of ALL they should have been paying plus some more and if they want to move, let them know there are going to be laws that encourage keeping companies here in the US. Laws such as requiring the nationality / home of executives and board members reflect the workers in their companies. When they start feeling shoved out, they will realign their priorities. LOTS to do, so very much we can do, but we have to start NOW with preparing for Trump's impeachment and our very own project 2029, because building a good country is a lot harder than destroying it, and we have lots of work ahead of us.
This also demonstrates the lack of a counter to the right-wing media machine, which I think is fair to say at this point includes mainstream media outlets like MSNBC, CNN and CBS. And, the oligarch-controlled social media algorithms force-feeding users misinformation, propaganda and lies.
MAGA voters still do not get it. My cousin's daughter has a form of ASD, 35 years old and never worked. My cousin thinks they can walk right in and have her daughter put on SSI. Easy peasy. Lol
The problem wasn’t lack of warning. The information was available. The outcomes were predictable from it. Climate, tariffs, immigration-labor effects, health system strain, and democratic erosion were all documented in advance. The results now being experienced follow directly from those choices.
This is also visible in statecraft.
Statecraft is the management of systems, not personal style.
It depends on continuity, bureaucracy, institutional memory, and long-range planning.
Trump operates through loyalty cycles and emotional signaling.
That is not governance. It is court politics.
Meanwhile, the counterparts he tries to negotiate with:
Xi Jinping, 13 years directing the administrative machinery of 1.4 billion people.
Vladimir Putin, 26 years balancing oligarch networks, security institutions, and military state capacity.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 22 years managing a NATO member state with internal ideological factions.
Narendra Modi , 11 years coordinating a complex, multi-lingual federal system of 1.4 billion.
These are leaders who operate on multi-year and multi-decade timelines inside stable bureaucratic structures.
Trump had 4 years in office with high turnover, no stable doctrine, and no functioning planning apparatus.
He changes positions frequently, which means he cannot sustain leverage or strategy.
So while climate impacts, economic shocks, and institutional stress were predicted in advance, the U.S. political leadership framework was not equipped to respond. That is the continuity problem.
this is sort of like if your 6 your old described to you what a cartoon villain would do if they took over the White House
6 year olds could not think that negativly :-)
but i see your angle Boston L
You think it would be more candyland fun White House than villain White House? 😂
YEAH theres just no way a sweet heart of a 6 year old could create this dystopian dimension we seem trapped in. just no. Iwake up every morning and hold my breath, i reach for my phone and click notifications, then a let out '' shit still this one''

To be fair, comic book villains are not allowed to be quite as "rapey."
I think 6 year old cartoon villain who takes over the White House, then demolishes it and builds a golden toilet, fits the bill.
ok, i thought, a bit of fun, but actually.. its too close to the truth..

Trump to your grandkids: Drop Dead.

Let those that were warned & ignored the alarm's "suffer" for their stupidity.
They might but so will we.
I will suffer with enjoyment as long as I know my enemy suffer's twice as bad.🙂

Just the record.
Thanks for sane reporting in an insane world.
So sad, this truly was all predicted… why are American voters so blind and dumb??
Can’t wait for the Franklin Cover-Up story
