I think MAGA’s shown me that we need a civic version of the MOCA test that Trump’s always bragging about. A literacy test that consists of stuff they teach in high school. Stuff like “identify the three branches of government,” “explain how a bill becomes a law,” and “true/false: a presidential veto can be overridden.” Easy to pass, but alarming if you fail.
