Lindsey Graham Didn't Show Up to His Court Appearance
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was a no-show at a scheduled court appearance in Fulton County, Georgia that was part of an investigation into alleged lawbreaking by Donald Trump and his cohorts when trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Previously, Graham tried to fight the subpoena, arguing that his 2020 inquiries with Georgia state election officials were part of his job responsibilities as a United States Senator. This explanation never made sense, however, since Graham represents South Carolina and not Georgia. A judge ruled that Lindsey had to testify as part of the probe, which he has now skipped out on. Graham's attorneys have said he doesn't have to participate since District Attorney Fani Willis' probe is “politically motivated.” Of course, the efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia were also politically motivated and the claim doesn't speak to whether any crimes were potentially broken.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: There Are No Trump Rioters, It Was Antifa
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene said recently during a Lindell TV interview that the January 6th rioters were part of Antifa, but that clearly doesn't square up with her claim that Trump supporters who were at the Capitol that day are being mistreated and shouldn't be in jail. Greene said, “I was very upset. I never expected anything like that. And when it happened, I thought, this is Antifa and no one can convince me it was so-called Trump supporters.” Of course, there was no chance that the Lindell TV host was going to push back on the claim. Instead, he questioned whether Republicans have any plans to investigate Antifa's supposed role in the riots if they take back in the House in 2022, which MTG assured him they would. The sad truth is that even though her two accusations about January 6th are in conflict, Greene will able to have it both ways and her supporters won't have the critical thinking abilities to see through the contradiction.

Trump Uncontrollably Loses It After Deposition
Donald Trump lost his mind on Truth Social Wednesday after pleading the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times during a deposition over his company's alleged financial infractions in New York. Trump posted, “At the very plush, beautiful, and expensive A.G.'s office. Nice working conditions, as people are being murdered all over New York - and she spends her time and effort on trying to ‘get Trump.’” He also posted a screenshot of one of his official “Office of the 45th President” statements, unleashing a multi-page tirade about Letitia James and the investigation into him. When Trump left the deposition, he posted, “Just leaving the Attorney General's Office - A very professional meeting. Have a fantastic company with great assets, very little debt, and lots of CASH. Only in America!” Of course, even this statement isn't true since by all accounts the Trump Organization is not on the up and up with its finances. Surely, these social media screeds will continue with a number of investigations into the former president now heating up.

They're Sticking With "The FBI Planted Evidence"
The right wing appears to have settled on a talking point for how to respond to Monday's raid by the FBI on Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida. Conservative politicians and media figures are saying in unison, without evidence, that there's a strong possibility the FBI planted evidence on the former president while serving out the search warrant. Republican Senator Rand Paul said on Fox & Friends, “do I know that the boxes that they took from Mar-a-Lago — that they won't put things in those boxes to entrap him? How do we know? Their lawyers weren't allowed to see the boxes go, they weren't categorized. Thousands of boxes were taken.” Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said on Twitter, “I think there is an extremely high possibility that the FBI planted ‘evidence’ against President Trump. Otherwise WHY would they NOT allow his attorneys or anyone watch them while they conducted their unprecedented raid?” Neither Paul nor Greene had any evidence for their claims, but they know they don't have to present any in order for their supporters to believe the accusation.

The reason why Trump removed the federal documents and stored them at his home in Florida is simply this: He is planning to return to the White House and will be able to transport the files back to the Oval Office when he returns to Washington DC, thinking that his work is not over. Period.
