What an absolute MESS this administration has made EVERYTHING!

Not just here in America but Worldwide!

trump is really, really good at screwing things up, that is for sure!

25th Amendment this guy NOW!

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Easier to impeach. Read the 25th amendment, requires 2/3 in both House and Senate, whereas impeachment requires majority in House and 2/3 in only the Senate.

Article II Section 4 once we win the midterms. Hooefully his fraudulent and illegal shenanigans don't Eff up the midterms. Everyone must VOTE and make it too big to rig.

“Trump Media introduced a subscription service offering financial institutions high-speed access to market-moving social media posts from Donald Trump for up to $100,000 monthly. Because high-frequency traders profit from millisecond advantages, the arrangement monetizes official presidential announcements.”

How is this allowed?? To heck with emoluments clause?? How can this even be thought to be ok??

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

The number of types of corruption Trump has committed in just this second term is HUGE, and the number of times he has committed separate instances of Corruption in each of those types is HUGE. This is not even addressing the corruptions he enables and even encourages by his followers and family.

Notice: Trump established a 'Loyalty' test for EVERY hire in this administration, that also shows they are at least somewhat corrupt to start with, namely the refusal to admit Biden won in 2020. Trump does not trust honorable people. Starting from that point, not too surprising they won't turn on trump as long as they are getting what they wanted.

However, Trump reflexively pushes people to ever worse actions, and most of the people in his first administration found he pushed them too far. The question is, who in the Senate, who in the House, who in Trump's administration will find their limit, because Trump will push without limit.

cindee68's avatar

He will turn on everyone for the smallest slight. The GOP needs to wake up to that!

Deli Lanoux's avatar

Created a disaster?? That sounds like the GOP and Trump, the disaster to end all disasters. We live in very ugly times when the ones who should be controlled, exiled off the planet, are given free reign to wreak havoc on everyone else.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Which disaster? There are so many he has created.

Deli Lanoux's avatar

Exactly. I took the words from David's post: "created a disaster." Trump is the biggest, worst disaster ever, ever, ever. He's always wanting to be The Best, the whatever? Well, he IS!! He's the worst monstrosity of all time. And he must be stopped. People have died, are dying, and will continue to die because of him. Human life is nothing to him.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

You are of course exactly right. It will take a LOT of work to detail exactly how much of a complete disaster Trump is, because there are literally hundreds of his actions that have caused harm, most all of them illegal (Some have been declared legal by the provably corrupt and overtly biased SCOTUS, so I declare those are illegal too.)

Deli Lanoux's avatar

Thanks for your shared thoughts, Douglas. Right now Trump's saying he's on the hit list as if he's a real man and can take the heat, but the truth is that he's a fraidy-cat through and through. He knows his bullying bravado has gone too far, but he can't help himself. Remember, he's so in awe of himself that he refers to himself in the third person. But the Collective We is onto him. He's a mess, literally and figuratively. And he's a criminal. I honestly don't know how he can stand himself, but folks have let him get away with ugliness his whole life that he feels entitled. Shame on his family, especially, for siccing him on the rest of us. He should be locked up where he can never hurt anyone ever again.

Tiffanye Thomas's avatar

How can his people allow this? Aren't they at least human?

Ed Guerrant's avatar

Yes, they are human, but so were Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot. Simply being human is a pretty low bar.

Their problem, ours actually, is that they are human beings who lack a functioning moral code of conduct, of basic human decency.

IRS? CDC? DOJ? EPSTEIN CASE(S)?

ALL OF THE ABOVE?

My read of Iran: They are carefully targeting military targets (Better than the US has, I am sure). because Trump openly declared the killing of Iran's leader was part of his strategy, he has made himself a legitimate 'military target'.

Their 'assassination threats' are at least 90% just to mess with Trump, because they have decided they can not make any deal with him (Sensible since Trump never keeps ANY promises he makes and has ZERO credibility) and so they are hoping to push his mental instability into a collapse. Basically they are trying to 'drive him crazy', which is a very short trip for him.

The other 10% is to help motivate (and give guidance) to whichever people are sufficiently motivated to do it on their own. You will not find their fingerprints on any actual assassination attempt.

OMG!! 2 US soldiers dead, we have been defeated by Iran. Send up the white flag, stop the war. Set up surrender table so we can apologize and beg for mercy. Get out the checkbook so we can rebuild their innocent missile factories and resume their terror campaigns. Seriously??? Just another illegal, unjustified war started by the US military industrial complex for profit against innocent terrorists. When is the US going to learn if we just left the rest of the world alone, it would be a much better place. Seriously???

This is why I have always hated press coverage of the US military. Coverage has to be fair and balanced, no hint of taking sides. It is a footnote Iran commits war crimes everyday, but if the US kills "innocent" civilians, scream it on the front page. Charge our soldiers with war crimes. This is why the US cannot win wars as the press and the lawyers hold soldiers to standards but not our enemies.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Perhaps you can help us understand, point out an example of the warcrimes Iran is committing. Regarding the vessels through the straight, they have claimed ownership of the strait and are 'simply policing' it.

As opposed to the 'war crimes' we committed against the school, the 'fishing boats' / 'Drug boats' that were blasted with all killed, with never ANY evidence provided of ANY crime, which even if provided would not have justified lethal actions.

Iran, from what I have seen is trying to 'work within the rules' of this war Trump and Israel started. Besides, this is not even a legal war, since congress never authorized it.

Russ's avatar

When was the last time congress authorized any war?

Do you believe the US targeted the school knowing there were children there?

Do you believe Iran owns the strait of Hormuz and should be able to toll booth ships coming thru it? They do not and their blockage and attacking of ships is a war crime.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Wars are messy, I agree. To note though the reason for us having started this war is sketchy at best. We threw the first punch, and according to Trump it was a very powerful punch, as are those he declares we continue to throw.

When you are overpowered, when your opponent "has all the cards" what do you do? Iran gave fair warning of the closure. They are using what leverage they can create. Certainly similar to what Ukraine is doing. Much better than what Russia has done in Ukraine. MUCH better than what we did to fishing boats supposedly carrying drugs (never any evidence, or survivors).

Besides, I am not a citizen of Iran, but supposedly, in this country, I have a voice to condemn the actions of our government I find illegal, actions I find objectionable, stupid and incompetent.

the school was an oops born of planned incompetence. This adminsitration basically killed off the group in our military that would have helped prevent that 'accident'. Just like they reduced the group watching for food born 'problems' such as explosive diahrea and most every inspector general.

Douglas Gilligan's avatar

Since WW2, the U.S. has not formally declared war. Instead, Congress has passed Authorizations for Use of Military Force (AUMFs) to allow presidents to conduct extended military operations. The last significant AUMF was passed in 2002, which authorized the invasion of Iraq. Notably not Iran, hence, per our laws, illegal.

Russ's avatar

All wars are illegal. As for US throwing the first punch, I beg your pardon, Iran was attacking and commandeering ships and killing Americans long before now. They have harassed our ships and shot down one of our biggest drones. Solemani was in Iraq plotting to kill Americans.

Iran is the center of terrorism in the middle east. 240+ American marines and French soldiers blow up in Beirut in the 1980's. Where did all the explosives and coordination come from? Americans died in Afghanistan and Iraq. Where did enemy get their weapons and road side bombs?

Remember the humiliation in 1979 of Iranians capturing and terrorizing our embassy employees for 400 days.

We have appeased Iran for decades and expected Israel to bear the brunt. For all that Iran just got stronger and stronger.

As if this were not enough, Iranian drones are pounding Ukraine every day. The regime is executing their citizens as we speak. There is nothing legitimate about Iran IRGC. I feel sorry for the ordinary citizen. Chocking off the oil supply is the last straw.

He has the nuclear codes and is a cornered, imploding narcissist with no way out of Iran and facing prison when he loses power. Bad combination. It will get much worse. Narcissistic injury is the worst case scenario for him and he is experiencing it.

I think Iran is trying to assassinate Trump by scaring him to death! Either way, he deserves it. How many innocent people did he kill in Iran?

Meanwhile, 430 injured and only 16 killed? The US soldiers don't deserve this, unlike Trump himself. But I'm not sure that he's forthcoming about the actual number of death. It wouldn't be surprising if they're lying.

Bombing bridges and desalination plants are war crimes. Where’s the International Criminal Court?

Article 2, Section 4 would rid us of the whole Trump tribe: president, vice president, the entire Cabinet. How can this be implemented swiftly? Even repeated attempts would help. Resist! Persist!
