Trump vs Biden DEBATE CATASTROPHE, nearly WORST CASE scenario
The first 2024 presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump was a challenging night for Biden, who appeared confused and struggled to articulate his points clearly from the outset. His hoarse voice and verbal missteps, like saying "we beat Medicare," left him vulnerable to Trump's attacks. Trump confidently spread misinformation and capitalized on Biden's errors, overshadowing key moments Biden's campaign hoped to highlight, such as defending his son against Trump's "suckers and losers" comment. Despite pointing out factual achievements, like Trump being the first president since Herbert Hoover to have a net job loss, Biden's delivery lacked vigor and clarity. Trump's confident and relentless approach, even while spreading falsehoods, made him appear more in control. The debate was a significant net negative for Biden, potentially dampening enthusiasm among his supporters and raising questions about swapping him out as the candidate.
Talk of "replacing" Biden explodes after brutal debate performance
After Joe Biden's poor performance in last night's debate, discussions about replacing him on the Democratic ticket have intensified. Jon Stewart expressed disbelief and horror, while CNN's M.J. Lee reported a grim reaction from Democratic lawmakers at a watch party, describing the mood as panic-inducing. CNN's John King and MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace confirmed the widespread panic, with some Democrats contemplating asking Biden to step aside. Former Obama adviser David Plouffe called it a "Defcon One moment," stressing the urgency of the situation. Although some believe the reaction may be an overreaction, it is undeniable that Biden's confused and halting performance, contrasted with Trump's confident, albeit dishonest, approach, has caused significant concern. Despite Biden's factual accuracy and policy successes, his debate performance has cast doubt on his viability as a candidate. As Democratic strategists and officials deliberate, California Governor Gavin Newsom and Vice President Kamala Harris emerge as potential successors.
MAGA pretending Trump's debate performance wasn't utterly disgusting
Republicans are celebrating and attacking Joe Biden vigorously following his poor debate performance. However, they are largely ignoring Trump's countless falsehoods. Trump failed to answer policy questions and lied extensively, yet Republicans are focusing solely on Biden's flaws. Fox News and figures like Sean Hannity and Lauren Boebert are amplifying Biden's missteps while overlooking Trump's numerous falsehoods and incoherence. In contrast, media outlets like MSNBC and CNN have provided honest, though negative, assessments of Biden's performance. Despite Biden's faltering moments, his policies and facts remain strong. For now, Democrats need to avoid panic, await post-debate polling, and assess the broader impact before making any drastic moves.
From yesterday’s show:
RFK Jr announces he will debate himself while Trump & Biden debate
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. held his own solo debate last night, answering the same questions posed to Donald Trump and Joe Biden on CNN. Despite this unique approach, Kennedy has no realistic path to victory due to insufficient ballot access and a lack of viable states to win. Kennedy argued that most Americans desired an alternative to Biden and Trump and accused the establishment of silencing him. Kennedy's aides suggested unrealistic strategies, such as winning California, where Biden is leading significantly. Kennedy's most significant potential impact would be to siphon votes from Biden, potentially aiding Trump in his reelection effort. Despite these criticisms, Kennedy's efforts might appeal to those dissatisfied with the mainstream candidates.

Does no one notice the complete ineptitude of the moderators? And the obvious manipulation of Biden’s sound equipment? Only an ignorant fool who wants to stay ignorant believes the debate was legit.
I think it is very interesting and something that should be pointed out over and over again is how transactional the former president is.
We know that he has historically bailed on his contractor charges and vendor payments.
Then he talks about NATO members not paying what he called their fair share.
And now, we also know that he has been cheating the people of New York City and state because of his tax evasion convictions.
I personally felt that those should have been criminal as well.
He certainly thieved, millions upon millions of dollars from his fellow New Yorkers.
How much is it to go from misdemeanor to grand theft?
Surely, he passed that.
