DESPERATE Hegseth does TOTAL 180 after nomination hanging by thread
Pete Hegseth, seeking clarity for his Secretary of Defense nomination, claims he never opposed women in the military, only in combat roles. His original statement, however, argued that men are traditionally more capable in combat. Despite his attempts to clarify, the controversy revolves around whether his stance on women warriors contradicts his position on combat roles. The debate also raises questions about whether military roles should be based on competency, not gender.
Trump flip flops on promise to make groceries cheaper
Donald Trump has backtracked on his promise to lower grocery prices, now claiming it will be too difficult. While Trump frequently promised to reduce costs during his campaign, he admitted in a TIME Magazine interview that it would be “very hard.” This shift reflects his reluctance to set himself up for failure on an issue that people encounter regularly, like the price of groceries. Since the election if over and he doesn’t have to face the voters again, now Trump is tempering expectations.
From yesterday’s show:
Dem CALLS OUT Republicans for protecting perverted Gaetz
Matt Gaetz's resignation from Congress hasn't ended the controversy over allegations of sexual misconduct, as Republicans block efforts to release the Ethics Committee's report. Democratic Representative Sean Casten pointed out that in past cases, investigations continued even after resignations. He eloquently criticized Republicans for setting a dangerous precedent by preventing the report's release, to protect Gaetz and Trump by extension.
From yesterday’s show:
Nancy Mace suffers brutal handshake injury
South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace claims she was assaulted while shaking hands with an activist, though witnesses say it was a normal handshake. Mace's injury was described as a result of an "aggressive" handshake, but three attendees of the event said there was no assault, and they even described the interaction as friendly. The situation remains unclear, with many questioning Mace’s credibility due to her history of controversial actions.
