New concerns about Donald Trump’s health are gaining traction after recent footage revealed heavy makeup covering bruises on his hand and visible swelling in both ankles. These signs—paired with the administration’s refusal to offer any meaningful explanation—have prompted speculation about potential underlying medical conditions, including congestive heart failure, chronic venous insufficiency, or side effects from blood thinners. The official claim is that the bruising is from “vigorous handshaking,” which doesn't match what we’re seeing. And in the absence of transparency, people are left to connect the dots themselves.
This isn’t the first time the Trump team has been caught concealing health issues—recall the evasiveness around his COVID hospitalization in 2020, when it later emerged that Trump had received oxygen and treatment earlier than publicly admitted. The larger issue is the double standard: MAGA media relentlessly fixates on Biden’s health, while dismissing or denying clear signs of trouble from Trump. We’ve already seen they’re willing to lie about his condition. The physical signs are there. And without honest disclosure, the speculation will—and should—continue.
