Dripping Wet Trump Announces '24 Run to Bored Audience
Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president yesterday to a crowd at Mar-a-Lago. The announcement was well anticipated, as Trump hinted right before the midterms that he would be giving an important speech at his Florida residence on November 15th. Following a devastating midterm for the former president, many advisors and right-wing commentators pushed Trump to delay the announcement, but he decided to go forward with it anyway. The speech was expected to be under a half-hour long, but instead, Trump rambled for nearly a full hour and got into some of the topics he likes to discuss at his rallies. He talked about how he wants Congress to pass legislation that will allow drug dealers to get the death penalty. He also spoke about trans women competing in women’s sports as if that’s one of the most important issues facing the country. Trump certainly could win the election in 2024, but first, he will have to get through a Republican primary that he didn’t have to deal with in 2020 and that could prove much tougher than in 2016.
Trump Announcement So Boring, Staff BLOCKED Crowd from Leaving
Yesterday, during Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential announcement, people in attendance were so bored that they were trying to leave the room and staff had to block them from getting out. ABC reporter Jonathan Karl said on air while Trump was still speaking, “I actually saw people trying to leave and people leaving early . . . and then they, I think perhaps a little concerned that the hall would empty out too much, they actually started preventing people from leaving.” Every presidential candidate wants an electric atmosphere when they announce their run and an engaged audience. Trump didn’t get that last night, and along with the polling favoring Ron DeSantis and many Republicans turning against him, it seems like the former president may have fizzled out.

They're Talking About Dumps Again, This Time Kari Lake
In the weeks following the 2020 election, Donald Trump went around the country complaining about “massive dumps” of ballots going to his opponent, Joe Biden. Trump didn’t seem to have any clue as to the double meaning of the phrase and it made for some hilarious moments. Two years later, Jesse Watters and Kari Lake are talking about “vote dumps” again. Right before the Arizona gubernatorial election was called for Katie Hobbs, Kari Lake was on Watters’ Fox News show. And Jesse asked her, “what’s going to happen when we hear about this vote dump?” While this isn’t the most serious story out there, it does offer some levity to the authoritarian Republican efforts to overthrow every election they end up losing.

Trump '24 DYING? Polls Say Republicans Prefer DeSantis
In multiple new 2024 Republican primary polls, Ron DeSantis is beating Donald Trump. In a YouGov poll, 42% of Republicans and Republican-leaners said they’d prefer DeSantis whereas only 35% chose Trump. A CWS research poll in Texas shows that Republican voters prefer DeSantis, 43% to 32%. WPA Research conducted polling in a number of states and found that the Florida governor is up twenty points in Georgia, up fifteen in New Hampshire, up eleven in Iowa, and up twenty-six in his home state of Florida. It’s clear what turned the tide for Republican voters was the 2022 midterms when so many Trump-backed candidates lost and the GOP failed to win the Senate. Despite this, DeSantis was the only major Republican figure who outperformed expectations and he won his race by nearly twenty points. This polling may become irrelevant once the campaigns and debates get going, but for now, DeSantis has an impressive lead over the failed former president.
