Oops! Trump Lawyers Admit To Espionage In Court Filing
Donald Trump is suing the FBI for its search of his Mar-a-Lago home and in the court filing, Trump’s lawyers admitted that their client violated the laws that were the basis for the raid in the first place. Two times in the document, it was admitted that Trump took documents down to his Florida home, which is both a violation of the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records Act. This error by Trump’s lawyers was completely predictable since he’s been having a difficult time finding adequate legal talent. Respected attorneys are unwilling to represent Trump because they know he doesn’t have much of a case and they will be mistreated and may not get paid if they decide to work for the former president. So Trump is left with third-rate lawyers who are making the mistake of admitting their client committed crimes while filing a lawsuit against the investigators which has little to no chance of being successful.
Don Jr. Tells Crowd it Would Be GOOD if Trump Stole Nuclear Codes
Donald Trump Jr. spoke at a campaign event for beleaguered Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz and he made the case that it would actually be “good” if his father had the nuclear codes locked up in the basement of Mar-a-Lago. Don Jr. said, “by the way, for the record, I’d say that if Donald Trump actually still had the nuclear codes, it’d probably be good. Our enemies might actually be like ‘okay, maybe let’s not mess with them,’ unlike when they look at Joe Biden and they say, ‘you know what? We should attack now.’” Don Jr. is resorting to the defense of Trump that it might actually be a positive thing if he broke the law, which is not a great sign for the former president. But also, if Trump did still have the nuclear codes, they would no longer be valid and he wouldn’t be the person anymore with the authority to use them. But these facts don’t matter to the supporters of Donald Trump Jr. and Matt Gaetz who will applaud anything they have to say no matter how stupid it sounds.
From yesterday’s show:
MyPillow Mike Lindell Fails HARD, Again!
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell held another voter fraud summit over the weekend and once again it was billed as the event that was going to change the course of American history and definitively prove the 2020 election was stolen. Instead, like all of the other Lindell events, there was no actual evidence presented and it was just an opportunity for Mike to hawk his pillows and other merchandise. The event largely consisted of Lindell parading a bunch of people on stage to say the election was stolen, and then they left without presenting any evidence or demonstrating that anything would change. These MyPillow guy events are getting less and less attention over time with fewer and fewer people showing up to them. This suggests that even the people who are crazy enough to believe Lindell’s theories about the 2020 race don’t think there’s any shot at Donald Trump ending up back in the White House over the next two years.
From yesterday’s show:
Republicans Demand Answers As Campaign Cash Vanishes
Florida Senator Rick Scott is doing a horrible job running the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), to the point where Republicans are wondering where exactly all the 2022 midterm campaign cash has gone. The NRSC had raised $173 million this cycle, and there are a lot of contentious races around the country they need to be spending the money on. But the organization now only has $28 million of cash on hand. This led the NRSC to recently withdraw plans to spend $10 million on television ads in crucial swing states to help people like Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania and Ron Johnson in Wisconsin. Senate Republicans deserve to be in the problem they’re in, however, since they put Rick Scott, who oversaw the largest Medicare fraud in history, in charge of their campaign funding apparatus.
