Trump Press Secretary admits they have NO IDEA
Karoline Leavitt admits the White House has no real plan to handle the fallout from Trump's Iran attacks, including rising oil prices or regional instability
In this segment, the White House admits it has no clear plan to address rising oil and gas prices resulting from Donald Trump’s military actions against Iran. During a press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dodged a direct question about whether the administration had a strategy if Iran were to shut down the Strait of Hormuz—a critical chokepoint for global oil supply. Instead of outlining any concrete policy steps, Levitt simply said Iran “would be foolish” to do that. Meanwhile, gas prices are already rising, and the administration’s lack of preparedness is increasingly apparent.
Compounding the uncertainty, the administration’s stance on regime change in Iran has also shifted. Just days ago, officials denied regime change was on the table; now, when asked if the U.S. supports removing Iran’s leadership, Leavitt declined to comment, saying only that she wouldn’t get ahead of the president. This marks a notable shift in messaging as Trump sends mixed signals through a barrage of Truth Social posts—one moment calling for a ceasefire, the next declaring it over, then reversing again. The lack of clarity and consistency from both the White House and the president has made it nearly impossible to assess U.S. policy, fueling instability at a time when the stakes—both geopolitical and economic—are rapidly rising.
