Trump "Re-Truths" Post Promoting Violence
Donald Trump took to Truth Social this week, where he re-truthed user a weaponized screen from user “FreeTX1776,” which went as follows: “Then they will have to figure out how to fight 80,000,000 + it’s not going to happen again. People my age and old will physically fight for him this time. What we got to lose ? I’ll donate the rest of my time here on this planet to do it. And I know many many others who feel the same. They got my 6 and we Are Locked and LOADED.” This is concerning and unacceptable. Such rhetoric goes against the very principles of democracy and the peaceful transfer of power that the United States stands for. This type of language only serves to stoke division and incite violence. Political leaders have a responsibility to use their platform to promote unity and peaceful resolution of conflicts, not to encourage violent action. Such statements have no place in the public discourse and should be condemned by all those who believe in a democratic and peaceful society.
Kari Lake May Have Committed a FELONY By Tweeting Voters' Signatures
Kari Lake, the failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate who insists that she won her election despite losing to Katie Hobbs in embarrassing fashion, may have committed a felony by tweeting images of voters’ signatures. In the Tweet, Lake writes that “Today’s Senate Testimony CONFIRMS nearly 40,000 ballots illegally counted (10% of the signatures reviewed). I think all the “Election Deniers” out there deserve an apology.” This tweet was accompanied by screenshots of ballots, including the signatures of the voters. The act of publicly sharing personal information, such as signatures, without consent is considered a violation of privacy and may be illegal under state law. Adrian Fontes, Arizona’s Secretary of State, has asked the state's Attorney General to investigate whether Lake broke the law by tweeting the signatures. If found guilty, Lake could face serious legal consequences, including fines and imprisonment.

Matt Gaetz & Democrat Spar Over Pledge of Allegiance
During a House Judiciary Committee meeting, disagreement arose between Representatives David Cicilline and Matt Gaetz over the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Gaetz suggested that the committee recite the pledge and have "inspirational constituents" lead it, however, this proposal was met with criticism from Democrats who pointed out that members of the House already recite the pledge daily on the floor. Cicilline responded with his own proposal that the pledge should not be led by anyone who supported the insurrection on the Capitol in January 6th, 2021. Cicilline's proposal was defeated, and the Committee passed Gaetz's proposal unanimously. The exchange highlights the ongoing tension between Republicans and Democrats regarding the events of January 6th and the interpretation of patriotism.

OAN's Exclusive Interview with George Santos
During an interview with the conservative One America News Network, Republican Long Island Congressman George Santos was grilled by interviewer Caitlin Sinclair on his history of lying. Sinclair asked Santos where he drew the line between right and wrong, and if there was any scenario in which he felt it was okay to lie. Santos replied that he did not think lying was excusable, ever. Throughout the interview, Sinclair pressed Santos on his lies, asking if the end justified the means, if his exaggerations became larger as his ambitions grew, and if he had shown a sincere apology. Santos maintained that he was sorry, but that he didn't know what more he could do. The interview aired as Santos faced criticism for lying about his education, career, and family history and announced that he would step down from two House committees temporarily as an investigation into his campaign’s fundraising plays out.
