Trump to Return to Twitter and Facebook

Donald Trump is seeking to regain control of his social media accounts, specifically Facebook and Twitter. His campaign is formally petitioning Facebook to unblock his account which was locked in response to the US Capitol riot two years ago. The Facebook ban was not indefinite and the company has been deliberating on whether to let Trump back on the site. Trump’s campaign argues that the ban on his account has distorted the public discourse and that Trump's political voice has been silenced. Twitter CEO Elon Musk has already restored Trump’s Twitter account and now it seems like only a matter of time before the former president will start using the platform again. Still up in the air is how this will affect Truth Social and whether Trump will decide to dump trying to build up his own social media site in favor of using platforms that people are actually on.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's Brain Malfunctions in Fox News Interview

As part of her attempt to appear more mainstream, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program, but she made as little sense as ever. Hannity started off by creating a confusing situation by conflating raising the debt ceiling with funding the government. He said, “what are the things that [Democrats] will demand in exchange for going along with the debt ceiling? Because of the hyperbole I'm sure will be out of control. The full faith of the United States government is on the line and credit of the government is on the line. Are you going to shut down the government?” Greene then followed up, “I, for one, will not sign a clean bill raising the debt the debt limit.” This is the Republican nonsense we saw foreshadowed with the House Speaker election debacle. Greene is willing to take the government hostage and potentially default on our national debt because she suspects that doing so would make Joe Biden and the Democrats look bad.

Domestic Terrorist Defender Marjorie Taylor Greene Put on Homeland Security Committee

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has been appointed to the Homeland Security Committee despite her history of supporting domestic terrorists and her constant pushing of bogus conspiracy theories. In the last Congress, Greene was kicked off the House Education and Labor Committee and the Budget Committee due to backlash from a number of offensive and conspiratorial comments she made. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has also allowed Congressman George Santos, who is currently facing multiple investigations for lying to voters about his identity, to have committee positions. There is no low that House Republicans won’t stoop to, and these types of deranged people are now even allowed to get committee assignments that they don’t deserve.

George Santos Used Fake Jewish Name to Raise Money from Jews

George Santos allegedly used a Jewish-sounding last name to raise money from Jewish donors. CNN's Anderson Cooper interviewed a former friend and roommate of Santos, Gregory Maury Parker, who stated that when Santos needed to entice Jewish donors, he would pretend to have the last name “Zabrovsky.” Santos previously got caught lying about his family heritage. He claimed to have Jewish ancestry but then when he got caught, said that he was only “Jew-ish.” There is no limit to the number of things Santos is willing to lie about and this is just one of the latest examples. Despite these accusations, Santos has been assigned to the House Small Business Committee and the Science, Space, and Technology Committee and there doesn’t seem to be any appetite by Republicans to oust him from Congress.
