I suspect it was. What should be done about it, and who should do it? It is alleged that the U.S. military has had, for two decades, a plan to reclaim the oil and production facilities. This means that the U.S. taxpayer would foot the bill to force out the Maduro regime and take back the facilities and crude that "belong" to very wealthy corporations. At a time when more oil is being produced already, and the rest of the world is trying to move away from it as an energy source, taxpayers should ask themselves, "What do WE get out of our investment in lives and machines of war? " I would propose that the only ones who benefit from this blockade of Venezuelan oil exports are the same energy companies who want to reduce supply to keep the price of oil from coming down any further. I am not at all concerned about that; it's not in my interest, nor is it in the interests of U.S. taxpayers.
