Donald Trump has sharply escalated his feud with Elon Musk, threatening to cut government subsidies to Tesla and even deport Musk back to South Africa. This conflict arose after Musk criticized Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” which he says would harm his electric vehicle business. Trump accused Musk on Truth Social of hypocrisy, claiming Musk owes his success to government support.
Two of Trump’s top spokespeople have shown extreme loyalty bordering on parody. Tammy Bruce, now a State Department spokeswoman, praised Trump for “saving this country and the world” while dodging questions about Russia and Hungary’s human rights record. Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s White House press secretary, is more polished but equally evasive. She misrepresented major tax hikes as “credits,” downplayed the bill’s massive deficit impact, and deflected questions about failed trade promises.
In an unusual move, Trump launched a cologne called “Victory 45-47,” referencing his political ambitions. He promoted it as a symbol of “winning, strength, and success.” Although Trump did not create the product, this branding deal fits his long pattern of monetizing his political persona.
The Trump Department of Justice is pushing a memo prioritizing denaturalization of naturalized citizens. The vague criteria and civil approach remove due process safeguards, enabling politically motivated citizenship revocations. Such a policy could threaten David’s status in the country, as a naturalized immigrant from Argentina.
Finally, we interviewed Senators Chuck Schumer and Adam Schiff, who condemned Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” for Medicaid cuts, food assistance reductions, and favoring fossil fuels while enriching the wealthy. They urged public awareness and voter mobilization to hold Republicans accountable. Their message focused on defending healthcare, economic relief, and exposing the bill’s harm to working-class Americans, framing it as a crucial fight for the country’s future.
