Trump PANICS, files DESPERATE Christmas court request
Even on Christmas, Donald Trump was focused on his legal challenges, particularly related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. His legal team submitted a filing asking a federal appeals court to dismiss the case, asserting absolute presidential immunity. This move followed the Supreme Court's denial of a request to expedite a decision on whether Trump is immune from prosecution for actions during his presidency. The U.S. Court of Appeals in D.C. will determine if Trump can be prosecuted, with a trial set for March 4th. Trump's lawyers argue that no president can be criminally prosecuted for official acts without Senate impeachment and conviction. They deem the indictment unlawful and unconstitutional, warning of potential cycles of politically motivated prosecution. With oral arguments starting on January 9th, this explains Trump's apparent desperation to delay his legal proceedings.
Joe Rogan IMPLODES with Trump-Biden cognitive decline mistake
In a recent segment on Joe Rogan's podcast, Rogan and MMA fighter Bo Nickal delved into a discussion about Joe Biden’s supposed cognitive decline. Their conversation revolved around the notion that individuals regret voting for Biden because he sometimes has a difficult time speaking. Rogan brought up what was supposed to be an example of this, citing Biden referencing airports during the Revolutionary War. However, a surprising twist unfolded as they realized that the remark was made by Donald Trump. Despite this revelation, Rogan's response remained relatively subdued. This scenario prompts reflections on Rogan's responsibility as a prominent figure with an expansive audience. It also delves into the broader implications of cognitive dissonance, highlighting the challenges individuals face when admitting they were wrong or confronted with information misaligned with their preconceived notions.
From over the weekend:
Republican-controlled Congress is way worse than you think
Merely 20 pieces of legislation passed both chambers of Congress this year, marking it as one of the least productive sessions in memory. The blame is squarely laid on the Republican-controlled House, highlighting delays in selecting Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the subsequent replacement with Mike Johnson. Congress prioritized short-term measures to avert government shutdowns over addressing substantial issues. Another major focus by the House was on making unsubstantiated allegations against Hunter Biden resulting in a formalized impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Sadly, this Congress will likely be as unproductive in 2024 as it was in 2023, as split control will continue and Republicans won’t want to give President Biden any legislative victories ahead of the election.

Ron DeSantis complains that indictments give Trump an advantage
In a recent interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Ron DeSantis expressed regret over Donald Trump's indictments, suggesting that they negatively impacted his performance in the Republican primary. DeSantis claimed that the legal troubles faced by Trump overshadowed his campaign, asserting that he would have fared better if Trump had not been indicted. However, critics argue that DeSantis' struggles in the primary were not solely attributable to Trump's legal issues. Even without the indictments, DeSantis was already trailing Trump significantly in polls. Independent of Trump, DeSantis has run into many issues appealing to the electorate, because of his unpopular policies, awkward personal demeanor, and failures as Florida's governor.
