A recently surfaced letter from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, from Epstein’s 2003 birthday book, has reignited scrutiny over Trump’s ties to the convicted sex offender. The letter includes a hand-drawn outline of a woman, contradicting Trump’s previous denials. The Wall Street Journal published photographic evidence confirming the letter’s authenticity.
Trump allies have scrambled to downplay the letter. Some, like Congressman Tim Burchett, suggested the signature might have been forged or made with an auto-pen. Others, including Eric Trump and Charlie Kirk, dismissed it as trivial or fake. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the letter fake despite the clear evidence. Historical letters and expert analysis, however, confirm the signature’s authenticity.
Democratic governors Wes Moore of Maryland and JB Pritzker of Illinois are resisting Trump’s attempts to deploy federal forces in their states. Moore emphasized that Baltimore “will bow down to nobody,” while Pritzker noted that federal agents can only act within the law, primarily protecting federal property.
Economic challenges are mounting for Trump. August’s jobs report added only 22,000 jobs, far below expectations, and June and July numbers were revised downward. Attempts by Trump allies to spin the report with government job cuts, deportations, or survey errors have been inconsistent, signaling growing recognition that the economy under Trump is underperforming.
JD Vance, in a tweet, dismissed concerns that targeting cartel members without due process could be a war crime, saying “I don’t give a shit.” Such disregard for legal norms could make Vance more dangerous than Trump, as he might quietly cross legal and ethical lines.
Trump has suffered a major legal defeat in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case. The courts rejected his claim that comments made while president gave him immunity, and they upheld $83 million in damages, including $65 million in punitive damages. The court emphasized the “remarkable” and “reprehensible” nature of Trump’s conduct toward Carroll, noting that his attacks continued even after the verdict.
On today’s bonus show:
Scott Bessent faces a second allegation of threatening violence, raising concerns about his temperament. U.S. student test scores are declining due to multiple factors, including the pandemic and technology. And Trump is claiming credit for Biden-funded infrastructure projects he once opposed.

I’m so proud of the governors and mayors that are standing up against authoritarianism. Trump sent the card. Anyone that has a brain knows that he did. I’m proud of the Judges that did the correct thing in the case against trump . That woman deserves the money that trump owes her. The truth always comes out. I’ll be so glad when all truths come out and prove unequivocally that trump is not a person that should be allowed to be the president of the United States. He needs to be impeached and punished for every single crime that he has committed. He is not above the law. No one is!!!
Fake? Seems to me this is exactly Trumps style.
Given the stuff that he doesn't shy away from, seems strange the denials over this. Probably the strong ties to Epstein are the issue.
