The Joe Rogan / Tulsi Gabbard Interview is REALLY Bad
Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic Congresswoman turned right-wing pundit, went on The Joe Rogan Experience, and it quickly went off the rails with bad takes and misinformation. Rogan brought up a story about a student at a school who supposedly wanted a litter box put in one of the girls’ room stalls because she identified as a furry. The story was debunked, but not before Joe could talk about it on his show. Then the two got into talking about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and former Bernie Sanders-supporting Tulsi agreed with Rogan’s take that DeSantis would be the “most reasonable” of all potential 2024 presidential candidates. Gabbard, who’s still trying to portray herself as somewhat of a centrist, didn’t take any opportunity to criticize the right despite their clear slide in recent years towards authoritarianism. Tulsi also criticized America’s financial support of Ukraine to fight off the Russian invasion. Since the start of that war, Gabbard has been taking Vladimir Putin’s side in a way that’s been shocking even to many of her allies on the right.
Tulsi Fans EXPLODE at AOC Town Hall
A group of Tulsi Gabbard supporters showed up at a town hall hosted by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and they shouted out a number of unintelligible points about the Russia-Ukraine War. One guy yelled, “Congresswoman, none of this matters unless there’s a nuclear war, which you voted to send arms and weapons to Ukraine. Tulsi Gabbard, she’s left the Democratic Party because they are war hawks. Ok, you originally voted — you ran as an outsider. Yet you’ve been voting to start this war in Ukraine.” This commentary makes no sense on a number of fronts. Ocasio-Cortez did not “vote to start a war in Ukraine,” she’s backing the aid being given to Ukraine so they can fight off the invasion of a foreign aggressor. It’s unclear what Gabbard has to do with Ocasio-Cortez’s position on the war, but clearly, the former Hawaii Congresswoman has fans who feel the need to disrupt public events over her position.
From yesterday’s show:
Now Herschel Walker's MOM Calls Him a Liar
Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker has been caught in another lie, this time by his own mother. Walker said at a recent campaign event, “my mom just told me that my grandmother was full-blood Cherokee. So I’m Native American. I was like ‘hello.’ So I’m a super mutt. I don’t know what I am. But this is what was so funny, I said ‘mom, why you never said anything to us?’” But it turns out, that Walker’s mother Christine spoke to the Huffington Post and said she “has no idea if an immediate ancestor was full-blooded Cherokee.” She went on to say her grandmother passed when she was young and doesn’t “know too much about how she was connected” to the Cherokee people. Walker hasn’t seemed to learn any lesson at all from bending the truth, as he hasn’t had to pay any consequences from his voter base. This lie also showcases Republican hypocrisy on this Native American ancestry issue, since when Elizabeth Warren embellished her indigenous heritage, it became a major talking point against her. We’ll see if this story develops any more between now and the midterm elections, which are now less than four weeks away.
From yesterday’s show:
They're Attacking John Fetterman for His Stroke
Getting increasingly desperate, Pennsylvania Senate candidate Mehmet Oz and his allies are now attacking John Fetterman over his medical condition. Fetterman recently did his first in-person interview since having a stroke back in May. In the interview with NBC News’s Dasha Burns, we learned that Fetterman prefers to have closed caption text on a computer screen in front of him to transcribe what reporters are saying so he can understand them clearly. Dr. Oz went on Maria Baritromo’s show to respond to this revelation, saying, “we’ve not been actually exposed to this before. This is the first in-person interview. Here we are less than a month before the election. . . . And the concern, of course, is that if you don’t ever leave your home and ask questions, we don’t know the answers to the questions. . .” Regardless of how healthy Fetterman is at this point, he’s far more qualified to be Pennsylvania’s next senator than Mehmet Oz is. Also, the same Republicans making the claim that John isn’t up for the job also are supporting Herschel Walker in Georgia who has an especially difficult time communicating. Ultimately, Keystoners will make the decision if Fetterman is recovered enough to go to Washington DC and represent them, and by the looks of it, they will.
