Snowflake Trump Wanted "Puy@ B!tc&" Tweet Deleted
During a congressional hearing about supposed left-wing bias at Twitter, it was revealed that the Trump White House in 2019 demanded that Twitter remove a post bashing him. The tweet was posted by Chrissy Teigen and read “Lol what a p$ssy a$s b&tch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president.” (The original post was not censored.) After this happened, the White House reached out to Twitter to ask that the tweet be removed. This has been exposed after the right has spent years acting as though the left is threatened by free speech and uses its power at social media companies to get whatever they want. The right should never be able to get away with the claims they make about free speech and bias at Twitter when they themselves clearly go against the principles they claim to cherish so closely.
DeSantis Tries High Road Against Trump Attack, HE WILL FAIL
Ron DeSantis has chosen to take the high road against Donald Trump after the former president accused him of trying to groom high school girls with alcohol. As a reminder, a photo was shared on Truth Social with the caption “here is Ron DeSanctimonious grooming high school girls with alcohol as a teacher,” followed up by a vomiting emoji. Trump shared the image himself with a post of his own that read, “That's not Ron, is it? He would never do such a thing!” DeSantis has responded to the attack by saying, “I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida and fighting against Joe Biden. That’s how I spend my time. I don’t spend my time trying to smear other Republicans.” GOP candidates tried this approach against Trump in 2016 and they had zero success doing it because the Republican base loves his style of dirty politics. DeSantis hasn’t even announced whether he’s running in 2024 but if he does, he may want to switch up his strategy if he wants to have any hope of defeating Trump in the primary.

Mitt Romney Tells George Santos "You Don't Belong Here" at SOTU
In what was perhaps the most fascinating moment from Tuesday’s State of the Union, Senator Mitt Romney told disgraced lying Congressman George Santos that he “doesn’t belong here.” There was a tense back and forth between Romney and Santos as they waited for President Biden to arrive. There is no audio of the encounter but based on the lip reading and what Romney said afterward about the exchange, it appears Romney told him “you don’t belong here” and “you ought to be embarrassed.” The Utah Senator told reporters about the exchange, “I didn't expect that he'd be standing there trying to shake hands with every senator and the president the United States. Given the fact that he's under ethics investigation, he should be sitting in the back row and staying quiet.” Romney is one of the few Republican voices willing to stand up to members of his own party, and he should be commended every time he does it.
From yesterday’s show:
Sarah Huckabee Sanders Most Disgusting SOTU Response in History
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders delivered the response to Joe Biden's State of the Union address Tuesday night. It’s difficult to imagine why Republicans would choose her for the role since Arkansas is empirically a disaster and consistently ranks near the bottom in areas like healthcare, education, and the best places to raise a family. Sanders’ only “success” so far as governor was to ban critical race theory from public schools, a subject that isn’t even taught in Arkansas K-12 education. During her response, Sanders accused President Biden of lying and then delved into the culture war issues that Republicans love to focus on. At one point she said, “the dividing line in America is no longer between right or left. The choice is between normal or crazy.” This statement is actually a true one, but in the complete opposite way that Sanders intended it. Her State of the Union response with all of its dog whistles and “anti-wokeness” may go down as one of the vilest SOTU responses in American history.
