I'd appreciate it very much if you would acquaint everybody with Title 10 and explain just why it DOESN'T give plenary authority to the President, because there's one part of it that sounds very much as if it does exactly that. Thank you. 🙂

I’m Canadian, in Canada, and I can’t see how/why Americans haven’t made more noise about this! Can you think of how??? Maybe everyone attending the big parades next weekend should ALL carry big signs saying “PLENARY AUTHORITY MEANS KING” on one side, and “NO KINGS” on the other. Flood the streets with that message!

The USA is sliding more and more rapidly down the path to authoritarian dictatorship. Soon it will become irreversable. Hence the importance pushing back as hard as possible right now.

If you actually read and Understand the Constitution and Regulations, Before Title 10 can even be invoked, The Governor of a State must declare a State of Emergency AND ask for Federal Intervention. And Federal Intervention is only Supposed to be Given if a State does not have the Resources and/or Ability to solve the ' Emergency ' on its own. So what is going on in Chicago and Other Cities, is Clearly a Violation of States Rights. And the United States Constitution is designed to prevent the Violation of States Rights. Of Course that only works when the Constitution is actually followed.

I feel the need to make something clear. Miller and Vought want "Trump" to have absolute authority because they want absolute power. It's not about the President, and it never has been. It's about them. It's about their plan. It's about destroying a democracy in pursuit of power- not for the president, but for them. Even if we stop Trump, or Trump expires, they will remain in power...unless the GOP members of Congress grow a pair. We need to pressure them!

We need the press (and everyone else) to use the full "Trump and the Republicans" and not just "Trump", which lets the enablers of which you speak off the hook.

The man on the street won't react to the word "plenary" when he 1) feels that his voting isn't necessary, 2) doesn't even know basic civics or how our government works, 3) knows where in the heck Greenland is, and 4) what does plenary mean? He can't even pronounce it. So to those of us who DO know what it means, we need to keep up the noise, especially next weekend for the national Second No King Day. See you there.

Corporate media and a chunk of print media fail to explain anything of reality or substance, pertaining to any event/situation/happening these days. When another voice is lying or twisting facts, the press doesn’t fact-check or even push back anymore. It’s a dumbed-down model designed for the masses of people who don’t want to think for themselves. Critical thinkers, myself included, are hearing the lies and garbooldy-gook from corporate media pundits and are left wondering, “what the hell just happened?”. We find ourselves screaming at the dangerously non-informational moments happening on camera, in print or in comments on social media because we know they just allow the lies to sit there. It’s exhausting and can feel defeating most times. I believe the most important thing independent progressive media can do right now is to CONNECT THE DOTS. Corporate media banks on their audience having short-term memory and not thinking for themselves, so if they don’t push back or connect the dots and merely skim over twisted information and lies, no one will notice. The viewers are not informed and will just blindly glom onto the next lie. If progressive media persons want to educate their audience, they must succinctly connect the dots every single time. Make this a model to relay truths and facts. This practice provides practical context on news subjects, thus creating a well informed audience. A well informed audience will be armed to then go out and kick some ass!

Has anyone stopped to think what is really behind this madness? I know Trump likes to throw his weight around, but I have a feeling this power grab is bigger than he and his goons. No doubt his defense of Russia has no rational explanation.

I am thinking that corporate America may no longer be American. Who is sucking up DJT meme coin crap and DJT stock? Who gave him that $400m bail on the NY business records? Who is financing the massive losses on Truth Social? Real estate in major cities is being jazzed up by foreign interest and shell companies. How many Russians live in Miami? How is it that Tesla stock is going thru the roof despite it being a tiny footprint in auto production and its leader even said not to buy Tesla.

Point being, for the love of money, it is quite possible America is no longer owned by America. Foreign offshore interests may be pulling the levers. The reverse is also true, investors like Buffet investing in Chines BYD. Billions thrown at China by the US investors so China can build up its military to challenge us? 1000 US and ally companies invested in Russia to include most of their leased airplanes. All that so Russia can go to war with Ukraine.

To date the US has not evoked all the sanctions on Russia that it could. Why is that? Money, money, money.

Excellent points! Corporate mainstream media is definitely in on it, and should be ashamed. All the corporate fat cats care about is money. Trump and the Republicons have effectively silenced all push back, follow-up questioning, and fact-checking.
