Report: Ukraine War Could Last 10-20 Years
There are numerous reports predicting that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine could last 10-20 years. The US Congress has been briefed on the outlook as well, and if true, this will be a headache for lawmakers and presidents for the foreseeable future. This does not mean the next decade or two would look like the last week. However, if Russia is successful in taking over Ukraine, there will be significant resistance from Ukrainian civilians that lasts a long time. Perhaps there will be constant flare ups in separatist regions and border areas as Russia has difficulty occupying this foreign nation that doesn’t want them there. There’s another aspect to this as well, which is that the Russian economy may not be able to support a conflict that goes on for years and potentially decades. The consequences for the Ruble and Russian stock market, as well as the sanctions and companies pulling out business from Russia, will likely haunt the Kremlin for years to come and make it impossible to fund a prolonged occupation.
Ron DeSantis Yells at Kids to Take Off Their Masks
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appeared with some high school kids earlier this week and bullied them to take their masks off. DeSantis walked right up to a line of kids and said, “you do not have to wear those masks. I mean, please take them off. Honestly, it’s not doing anything and we’ve got to stop with this COVID theater. So if you want to wear it, fine, but this is ridiculous.” This prompted a few of the students to listen to the governor and take their masks off. Throughout the pandemic, conservatives like DeSantis would make the argument that masking should be a personal choice. They claimed to have no problem with people wearing masks, but just didn’t want it to be a requirement. In this clip, DeSantis literally tells people to take the masks off because he doesn’t like how they look. This is an incredibly bad and hypocritical look from someone who wants to be the next President of the United States.
From yesterday’s show:
Deranged Trump: Ukraine is Fighting Thanks to Weapons I Gave Them
Donald Trump was interviewed this week by Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo and he managed to involve himself in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Trump took credit for the weapons Ukraine is using to fight off the Russian invasion. He said, “I think [Russia’s] in much deeper than they thought. To a certain extent because of the weapons that I gave and that the Ukrainians use so well, I mean they use so well, amazing.” In fact, Trump got impeached the first time for trying to withhold aid from Ukraine and extorting President Zelensky to get dirt on Joe Biden. Trump supporters have also been making the argument that Vladimir Putin didn’t invade Ukraine under Trump’s watch because he feared what the then-American president would do. In reality, if Putin invaded, Trump would have just looked the other way and sided with the Russian president as he did on so many other topics like the Kremlin’s interference in the 2016 election.
From yesterday’s show:
Lauren Boebert Defends Heckling Joe Biden Over Dead Son
Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert has been desperately trying to defend herself after heckling Joe Biden during his State of the Union speech. During the address, when Biden spoke about military members ending up in coffins, Boebert yelled out “you put them in, 13 of them.” The congresswoman went on Charlie Kirk’s show to justify her actions and said, “I was really caught up in the emotions of it.” This is Boebert trying to take a moral get out of jail free card by claiming her passionate stance on what Biden was saying couldn’t allow her to sit idly by like everyone else. She went on to say, “he started mentioning Afghanistan but didn’t bother to mention the 13 soldiers, he went on to something totally different.” The “totally different” topic that Biden moved onto was discussing how his Army veteran son Beau died of brain cancer. This was a completely despicable action from Lauren Boebert and try as she may, there’s no way to justify it.
