Trump confused & stumbling, calls Biden "b*tch" at sick rally
During a rally over the weekend in Erie, Pennsylvania, failed former President Donald Trump delivered a speech filled with confusion and debunked grievances, raising concerns about his mental state. The crowd turnout was lackluster, and despite his attempts to rally fervent supporters, the event showcased the challenges Trump faces in maintaining political relevance as he runs for president for the third time. Throughout the speech, Trump used incendiary language to insult President Joe Biden, at one point saying, “We have a guy who's a dumb son of a bitch.” Trump's base enthusiastically responded to the remarks, loving his misleading narratives and inflammatory rhetoric. Ultimately, the speech exemplified Trump's efforts to remain a prominent figure in Republican politics, despite the many criminal charges coming his way and his dwindling crowd sizes.
RFK Jr: No question that vaccines cause autism
During an interview with Patrick Bet-David on the PBD Podcast, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. asserted that there is no doubt that vaccines cause autism, a claim he has made in various other interviews as well. However, the scientific consensus is firmly against Kennedy's claim, with numerous studies demonstrating no link between vaccines and autism. The origins of this belief can be traced back to Andrew Wakefield's now-retracted study, which was based on poor methodology and ethical violations. Despite this, anti-vaccine advocates continue to cite a debunked list of 100 studies and misrepresent evidence to support their views. Actual studies with millions of children have repeatedly shown no correlation between vaccines and autism. Kennedy's arguments regarding ingredients like thimerosal have also been disproven by extensive research. Moreover, citing situational correlations between vaccine rates and autism diagnoses is not evidence of causation. Experts attribute the rise in autism diagnoses to improved awareness, changes in diagnostic criteria, and other factors unrelated to vaccines. Despite the overwhelming scientific evidence, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. persistently propagates these misleading claims about vaccines and autism and it’s undoubtedly having a negative effect on the public.
From yesterday’s show:
DISASTER Mike Pence interview, campaign is dead
Mike Pence, former vice president and 2024 presidential candidate, sat down for an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash and he was confronted about potential criminal charges against Trump. But instead of addressing the question directly, he emphasized his commitment to the Constitution and avoided providing any clear answers. A similar pattern emerged when he was questioned about abortion exceptions for non-viable pregnancies, where Pence seemed unwilling to give a straightforward response, raising concerns about his stance on the issue. Such evasiveness might be a strategic move to avoid taking controversial positions that could alienate Trump supporters and maintain his appeal among that base. However, these tactics also raise questions about political accountability and the need for politicians to provide candid answers to critical issues. The lack of transparency in Pence's responses fuels apprehensions about his true intentions and what exactly he hopes to accomplish with this far-fetched presidential run.
From yesterday’s show:
RFK Jr Fox News town hall a total disaster
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who’s challenging Joe Biden for the Democratic presidential nomination, is drawing considerable attention and support from right-wing media and Trump supporters. With numerous appearances on Fox News, Kennedy is fueling the perception of internal Democratic discontent with Biden's leadership. However, his controversial statements on COVID-19, vaccines, and the Ukraine-Russia conflict have raised serious concerns about the spread of misinformation and the potential consequences of his candidacy. RFK Jr. did a Fox News town hall with Sean Hannity recently and made the claim that COVID affected people of African descent and Caucasians more severely than Asians and Ashkenazi Jews. If one actually reads the study Kennedy was referencing, they would notice the differences are so minute that they are not statistically significant. But that hasn’t stopped him from continually citing the study and suggesting something intentional and nefarious about the virus. While Kennedy’s overall impact on the race remains uncertain, his candidacy serves as a cautionary tale about how right-wingers can try to use so-called progressives to their own advantage.
