I think you have a point David. They probably won’t be an actual petroleum shortage but corporate will lie and say that there is because this is a perfect opportunity for corporate price gouging. This is a tried and true method used by corporate for decades.

OMG “gas prices might surge to $5 a gallon”.

Americans don’t realise how good they have got it. UK residents are paying the equivalent of around $8 an imperial gallon and this will likely rise because of this ill thought war.

I believe that the UK has access to North Sea crude oil. The company British petroleum is a dirty company. The American and British government orchestrated a coup against an Iran in 1953. The original name of BP was the angle Iranian oil company. The Brits called it operation boot in Americans called it operation Ajax.

Their original name of PP British petroleum was called the Anglo Iranian oil company. The UK is a lot of access to crude oil so it looks to me like your government is screwing you guys. Perhaps if the CEO of BP needs to feel a little bit apprehensive about sticking his head out of his bunker.

A lot of the price seems to have a lot to do with refining and encouraging people to move to EV or hybrid. For example, the one large refinery in Scotland, at Grangemouth, which has reported to have been running at a profit, is closing.

The big oil barons often have an agenda that is hard to understand.

A gallon of gasoline in around is ten cents. The price of refined oil products worldwide is a great big giant corporate fuck job.
