One recent theory has it that he's getting intravenous injections of drugs like Lecanemab to control symptoms of early Alzheimer's disease. Side effects include brain swelling (hello MRI), bruising of the injection site, drowsiness, and confusion.

I Think you are right. I bet it is the intravenous injections. I take care of Alzheimer's folks in their homes. 14 yrs no. None of mine have had the infusions, only oral meds to help control anxiety and helps with sleep. I've heard it's VERY expensive!! Your tax $$$ at work trying to control his brain. I personally don't think it's working very well!!😁😱🥴

You have answered your own comment. Much of legacy media is afraid to ask these questions because they fear legal repercussions from Trump.

Dear God,

Please take your humble servant Donald and send him where he belongs.

And if you're not too busy, could you put us all in your Cosmic Time Machine and send us back to 2015?

Eternal gratitude.

The republiCRAPS are afraid to ask because for some dumb reason, they're scared to death of them. Dump must be heavily invested in all the companies they own. (I don't know IF they do, but I bet I'm right.). They'e afraid of him withdrawing all of his money from what he invested in their companies. We all know the cheating criminal deranged psycho is loaded.

I don't count on Trump's health failing as it's possible that he might be replaced by someone who is far more racist and vicious. My only hope is that Democrats return with a stronger message speaking for the common man and to go harsh against the Trillionaires and the Oligarchs who are Kings but without titles and are literally above the law, and Epstein was just an example.

Your father should punch you in the face for failing your family, not learning how to write properly and not acknowledging your views and actions have ruined everything!

Americans have a right to know whether the leader of this country is fit to run, particularly if health issues involve dementia and/or Alzheimer's. Who is running the country and how is that man being used to fulfill the wishes of THEY.

Having an injection site bruise on the back of his hand has been my exact thought as well. It is an easy vein to access, and with his level of obesity, this would be a common access point. I agree with Patricia. Whether it is for Alzheimer's or some other disease (Parkinson's or a psychosis) or for hydration issues/ renal insufficiency, diuretics, etc. There are many possibilities, and with his kankles, blood pressure and related medications would also be on the list. He is no a healthy person- that is easy to see. The sundowning, bags under his eyes, speech impediment, loss of vocabulary, and pallor are all clear indications his health is deteriorating fast.

Yes! The media is afraid! Just like our impotent Congress.

Mainly republiCRAPS. Some of the Democrats might be, but I doubt it.

One of the most dreadful consequences of the media and the (lower case gop) gutless obsequious puppets of the GOP ignoring Trump's mental decline is that this demented old man and his buffoonish Secty of War might be sleepwalking us into another unwinnable war in Venezuela - Vietnam 2.0.

When Hegseth blamed "the fog of war" for not having seen the victims of the boat strike, it was obvious that he didn't have even a passing familiarity with Clausewitz, who coined that term in his classic "On War." Clausewitz was not referring to fog on the battlefield or smoke on the water. He was referring to the inevitability of unpredictable adverse consequences that result from any military action.

The fog of war is what paved the road from the almost unanimous Congressional approval of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution through to the humiliating evacuation of Saigon ten years later, killing 50,000+ Americans and dividing the country along the way.

The fog of war is what turned the military cakewalk that almost all authorities predicted when Russia invaded Ukraine into a three year bloodbath still ongoing.

The fog of war is what metastacized the good intentions of Prohibition into a global organized crime syndicate, that metastacized the war on drugs into drug cartels and drugs of ever-increasing addictive power and lethality.

The ignorance and arrogance of Trump/Hegseth et al vastly increases the probability that what they are trying to portray as a policing action, an easy win (and diversion from the economy and the Epstein files) will mutate into an ugly dirty war that, because of the fog of war, by definition cannot be foreseen today.

It's in the title. Afraid.

Look at that those (ugly stubby) thumbnails....just the condition of his nails is indicative of someone who is very unwell. The look & condition of fingernails & toenails is very telling of health conditions & nutritional deficiencies. Couple that with his skin color, eyes, gait & everything else, (HOPEFULLY) his days are numbered. You can rehydrate a prune but it will turn to mush.

This is an honest question. I know that the President of the United States is not a private citizen. But legally does that mean that whoever is president has to share their health information with the public given that we have HIPAA? I do believe we have the right to know, but do we legally have the right to know? And is this something that could be legislative differently? If HIPAA applies for everyone including whoever is the president of United States, should we change that? I kind of think we should be able to, but I feel like it can be a slippery slope as well. But from things I’ve read it sounds in a way like the release of information regarding the president’s health has been traditional like releasing tax returns and not a legal requirement.

Patti's avatar

If the cabinet and the VP know the president is incapable of leading the country because his health is failing, it is their obligation to the people to step up and remove him. Since his sycophants are too afraid of him, this will be unlikely and all of the republicans are therefore accountable for his actions. Will this likely change anything- no. A simple stroke would be the best possible at this point. Unfortunately, the VP will continue much of his already egregious behavior and policies, but at least his hold over the party is a thin thread and there may be more positive dissenters without Trump being in control.
