Poland reported that 19 Russian drones entered its airspace during strikes on Ukraine, forcing some to be shot down in self-defense. This is the first breach of NATO territory since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Poland’s Prime Minister called it a major provocation and triggered NATO’s Article 4, warning Europe is closer to war than since World War II. The incident tests NATO’s credibility, especially given Trump’s skepticism and lack of response.
Democrats released a 2003 letter allegedly from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, featuring a drawing of a naked woman, Trump’s signature, and cryptic references. Trump denies writing it, calling it “nonsense,” but handwriting experts say the signature matches his style at the time, which was softer than his later presidential signature. The phrasing is consistent with Trump’s early 2000s speech patterns, and forging such a precise signature would carry serious legal risks.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Levitt has continued to defend Trump’s denials, citing partisan sources and dismissing the letter as a Democratic hoax, despite independent verification. During a press briefing, Leavitt faced questions on both the Epstein letter and Trump’s foreign policy but avoided topics such as domestic violence remarks and allegations that Trump acted as an FBI informant on Epstein.
Donald Trump visited a DC restaurant, Joe’s Stone Crab, and was met with loud boos, heckling, and protesters waving Palestinian flags. The stunt stemmed from a recent reporter’s comment that Trump had never dined out in DC as president, prompting him to prove otherwise—but the visit, heavily secured by Secret Service and police, did little to demonstrate the city’s safety.
Finally, Dan Pfeiffer, Pod Save America co-host and former Obama campaign strategist, joins me to discuss the state of the Democratic Party, media strategy, and the 2024 and 2028 elections. We had a wide-ranging conversation about why Democrats struggle to connect with independent media audiences, the need for authentic messaging and emotionally resonant policies, and how candidates like Gavin Newsom are positioning themselves for the future.

He’s selling real estate, the greeting on the tarmac in Alaska was his walkthrough with the pending buyer. How about we stop pussyfooting and declare a national emergency? And he’s not invited.
I'm 87. I remember Pearl Harbor. I remember the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan. Of all the topics to be discussed today, I am most concerned about the drone attacks on Poland. What do the rest of you readers think?
