If there was an option they would have done it. The problem is much bigger. Trading with China has always been risky. Depending on sales to just one customer who controls that market is suicide. We should have addressed our trade imbalance with China many years ago before we became addicted to their products. They have weaponized trade before and we are just too naive to realize being Mr Niceguy is taken as weakness.
China is aggressively building up their military in large measure with investments, technology and education that we give them. This is no way to show appreciation to the US. They hack our net, send illegal drugs. We have allowed 300,000 Chinese students to come here to study STEM that will be used against us. They are even buying up companies and farmland.

I am annoyed with myself, I just bought a stiff scrub brush on a handle and found out it won't arrive for 2 weeks, what? It is coming from a city in China, I don't really mind that but times are different, gotta choose better.

The holdup on your brush is probably a customs hold. Minimum customs is $80+ so do not be shocked if and when it shows up with bill attached or worse, you get the brush and the customs bill shows up later. That makes it impossible to dispute.
I’m in the Florida panhandle, a few months ago, I’d say over 50-60% of the homes had at least one MAGAt flag or sign. Yesterday there was only one sign left out of at least 40-50 on my street alone. Haven’t seen many hats either like I used to. My die hard MAGA friend still marginally supports him, but doesn’t do so publicly. He used to have at least 10 MAGAt flags along with signs and banners around his entire yard. There is a Kanks store here that I’d be interested in seeing their books. Just a hunch that sales may not be what they were a few months ago. Maybe people are finally beginning to notice what their candidate is REALLY up to!
That's good if they do notice. But the damage is already done. Once Trump was elected to his second term, most MAGAs probably figured, "Well, my work is finished here," and took down their signs. What will undo this? Maybe impeachment, maybe 25th amendment, maybe nature taking its course. Will the Trump signs come out again? We can only hope they are gone for good.
I truly am sorry, but I have developed a case of "compassion fatigue" for Trump supporters who find themselves suffering increasing hardship BECAUSE they CHOSE to return Trump to office even though he has proven time and time again that the ONLY operative words in his vocabulary are "I", "ME", and "MINE", and has demonstrated THROUGHOUT his entire life that the only thing that matters to Trump IS Trump.
Despite my compassion fatigue I WILL do what I can to support the multitude of citizens who truly are suffering increasing hardship mainly because I was raised to believe the only way for a community to survive and hopefully thrive is by supporting one another EVEN when the beliefs and actions of those in need of support may be unfathomable and totally foreign to me. I do not believe I can afford to concern myself with whether the states of those who are in need are red, blue, purple or polka-dot.
One point that I need to make crystal clear though is that, even as I offer my support, I WILL continue to fight in every way I can to effect changes to STOP the ongoing disruption in lives being wrought by those in power in our country as I firmly believe offering support should in no way involve turning a blind eye to the pain and suffering being inflicted on our citizenry.
