We, and the courts, can be equally stubborn about the law.

David,

First , I'd like to thank you for the very credible program you put together to inform your audience. Next, I have a question/concern that I'd like you to address. Would you please share your thoughts regarding the impact of the gerrymandering efforts going on in many of the red states. I fear that it will have a significant impact on the 2026 midterm elections. It seems that the Republicans are following the example of their leader and his mindset of "cheat to win" no matter the cost. Thanks, I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I've never been afraid of politics/politicians before. Now, frequently, the news scares me.

He does all illegal

things and never gets arrested and tried for them. He and his kids are criminals and all three should be tried. Also his administration should all be tried. They are pocketing bribes and illegal decisions.

The Supreme Court only cares when the rich could be hurt by whatever it is.

The Supreme Court doesn't care about women's rights, and only cares about redistricting when it benefits conservatives. They occasionally throw the people a bone, like the tariff issue, so that they don't look illegitimate. Most of the SC Justices are trump's henchmen, because it benefits them.

And who is it that must pay the price for his incompetence and stupidity?

This is one of your best commentaries. It says everything about how Trump works. Trump sees himself as a king. There is no such thing as rules and laws, just temporary obstacles to be overcome or ignored. His executive orders now become law. Anything in the way gets bypassed sooner or later.

The only constraint seems to be the courts and we see that being worn down. I do find it astonishing that someone of his age has that much energy for non-stop posts on "Truth" Social. There is very little truth there.

As the head of government, he should not be using his private company to post official comments. That should also apply to all his other side jobs like running golf courses and extorting CEOs for donations. The presidents full time job should be president.

Just more waste, fraud, and abuse DOGE is obligated to handle.

Here is a bone to think about. When and if Dems come back to power... They make a deal with Musk to do a DOGE at the WH. Musk for all the criticism, does seem to live a modest lifestyle opposite of Trump. Start with the ballroom, one of the biggest fleece projects ever concocted. If billionaires can fund the building, they can also pay for the security now being put upon the taxpayers. The original building had all the security, so why does that not get re-installed in the ballroom.

Cut/Pasted from Internet: Former Aide Suggests a Doomsday Plan Exists and Trump May Be Ready to Use It: Former Homeland Security Chief of Staff Miles Taylor warned Friday that President Donald Trump may invoke a secret "Doomsday Book" containing pre-drafted executive orders hidden in a secure White House location.

Created under the Eisenhower administration to maintain government continuity following a nuclear attack, the book grants presidential powers to censor the press, detain civilians, suspend communications, and enact martial law.

In a report published in The i Paper, Taylor wrote that during Trump's first term he believed the president did not fully understand these capabilities, noting Trump once referred to his "magical authorities" to bypass legal constraints. However, Taylor expressed alarm, suggesting Trump now appears aware of and willing to exploit these powers.

"Three years ago, my concern was that Trump did not fully appreciate the powers he might abuse," Taylor wrote.

"Today, my concern is that he's decided to do so."

Taylor stressed the situation represents a genuine threat to American democracy.

The courts need to demand the tariff payments records and then set a deadline date by which tariffs taxes all have to be repaid. Companies should not have to request a refund. It's an entitlement just like any other tax refund.
