As far as I know there hasn’t been a dictator who can rule over a prosperous nation. So the higher the unemployment numbers are the better for the dictator. Starving people are easier to rule than prosperous people.

This is so sad and pathetic.

It is 6 PM IN DC. But magas work at night so we who watch will not know what they are doing. Remember when they started a session at one AM?

Lisa M could save all rural hospitals with a no vote, I hope her family is watching and understands what her yes vote does. Her legacy certainly won't be on the high pedestal with John McCain. She's going to be in the same chapter with MTG, KKKaroline, Kristie Noem, Pam - etc and all the shameful Mara-lardo trumplets!!

Recently David saI d it was a waste if time to try to stop this bill, and we should just face the fact we are going to lose, and work off that premise. I disagree. While we realize the potential to stop this bill is small, just handing them a free victory, instead of trying (with open eyes) to stop them is pathetic. While victories are few and far between, we do occasionally win. Do not forget John McCain saving the Affordable Care Act. It can be done, yes it takes a lot of effort, and yes the odds are not good. But we do need to remember the wins, and continue to strive for them. Yes we need contingency plans because we are aware of the odds and the difficulties. But you can't just give them an uncontested win when the stakes are so high. We should make them have to fight tooth and nail, and expend as much of their their energy and political capital as is possible for every single inch they take.

We should always try, and I have contacted Congress myself. But this bill will pass. This is not the same Congress as we had then. This Congress has no spine and no morals, even then, you notice it was one that swayed it, McCain, who had recent health issues. Imminent death changes a person.

I want the truth. But I also want some ideas of what we can do to make it hard, maybe some ideas that we can take to change something, anything...steps we can take, etc
