Oil prices have climbed to around $126 per barrel as Donald Trump’s Iran conflict continues to disrupt the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, Trump publicly claims the situation is stabilizing even as markets react negatively to the ongoing tensions.
In his latest distraction effort, Donald Trump stated that UFO files may be released and referenced interviews with pilots who described unexplained aerial phenomena. However, similar past announcements have only produced vague claims and minimal new information.
Republican senators, led by Lindsey Graham, introduced legislation to spend about $400 million in taxpayer funds on a White House ballroom following the assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. This is after Donald Trump previously claimed private donors would cover the expense.
The White House ballroom project is expanding to a ninety-thousand-square-foot complex with added security features. Meanwhile, constituents cannot afford basic expenses, as gas and grocery prices keep rising.
Finally, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that close ties with the United States are now seen as a liability. He said his country is strengthening relationships with other trading partners, like the European Union, Nordic countries, and Australia.
