Today is Tuesday, October 14, 2025, and this is your news and preview of today’s show.
During a trip to the Middle East for a peace summit following the Israel-Hamas deal, Donald Trump made a series of offhand remarks. While speaking about crime in the region, he praised Egypt’s president El-Sisi for having “very little crime” because “they don’t play games,” adding that if someone commits a crime, “he puts it out very quickly.”
Trump was also caught on a hot mic joking with the Indonesian president about “unlimited cash” while chatting about his sons and foreign business ties — a moment that blended politics, money, and personal boasting on the world stage.
During a speech in Israel’s Knesset, Trump urged Israeli leaders to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently on trial for corruption, saying, “Cigars and champagne — who the hell cares about that?” He then criticized Barack Obama and Joe Biden for what he called “hatred toward Israel,” without mentioning that he himself served as president in the years between the two administrations.
In an interview, Vice President JD Vance was cut off by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos after repeatedly dodging questions about an alleged $50,000 bribe to Tom Homan. Throughout the exchange, Vance deflected, accused the media of bias, and refused to give a direct answer, prompting Stephanopoulos to abruptly end the segment.
A Trump health update followed his three-hour visit to Walter Reed Medical Center, where officials described the 79-year-old as in “exceptional health” after receiving flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. Previous evaluations noted chronic venous insufficiency and other minor issues, though Trump continues to assert that he is “fully fit” for office.
