It truly pains me to say we’ve predicted this, but Trump’s people just all but admitted they’re going to doctor the Epstein files, they’re gonna hold back the Epstein files, ongoing investigation, blah, blah, blah. Republicans are already floating the idea of constructing, that’s their word, their own Epstein list from scratch. This is exactly the set of excuses we said they would use, and they’re going to try to do it.
Meanwhile, as Trump tries to prepare for the potential impact of the story, he has lost control of his own party. MAGA lawmakers are ignoring him. Survivors are speaking out. Marjorie Taylor Greene is accusing him of ripping the movement apart. This is the first real break in MAGA, and it’s happening over the topic that Trump can’t escape.
And then the new polls hit and they’re devastating. Democrats have opened their biggest lead in eight years. Independents are turning on Republicans by 30 plus points. Trump’s approval is sinking. This is the collapse he’s been terrified of since coming back into office.
