Here’s what we’re talking about today.

This is a quick rundown of the topics we’ll be covering on today’s show. You can hit play to listen, or read the transcript below if that’s more your style.

Transcript:

Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon is warning that Republicans could lose up to 40 seats in the 2026 midterms if the Trump administration does not release the full Epstein files. The warning follows an official conclusion from Trump’s Justice Department and FBI that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide. Prominent Trump allies—including Dan Bongino, Laura Loomer, and Kash Patel—have expressed frustration with the administration’s handling of the case.

At a Cabinet meeting, when asked about Epstein, President Trump responded: “You’re still talking about this creep? That is unbelievable.”

Also making news are concerns about President Trump’s health. Recent photos and videos show visible swelling in both ankles and a possible bruise or bump on his right hand. Medical experts note that this may be consistent with conditions such as congestive heart failure, medication-related side effects, or chronic venous insufficiency. The White House has not commented on the cause of these signs.

In a separate development, Trump publicly criticized Senator Adam Schiff, accusing him of mortgage fraud related to a property in Maryland. Trump called for Schiff to be “brought to justice,” though no official investigation has been announced.

When asked about new international agreements with Vietnam and China, Trump said he might release more details but added, “I don’t think it matters how much you release.”

In related news, a newly surfaced letter appears to confirm that the Trump administration had access to Epstein-related files all along, despite now claiming they don't exist. The Department of Justice has not commented.

A segment on NewsNation featured political commentator Bill O’Reilly appearing confused about the timeline of Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest and death. O’Reilly mistakenly attributed those events to the Biden administration, though they occurred in 2019 during Trump’s presidency. William Barr, not Merrick Garland, was Attorney General at the time.

I will be interviewing Jake Tapper today about his controversial book about Joe Biden, and it should be very interesting. I'll ask him about many of the concerns some of you have expressed to me about the book.
