Today is Thursday, July 24th, 2025, and this is your news and preview of today's show.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Attorney General Pam Bondi personally briefed Trump back in May, informing him that his name appears multiple times in the Epstein materials. Despite that, Trump denied it just days ago, calling the files “made up” by former officials like James Comey, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden.
At the same meeting, Bondi reportedly told Trump that no further Epstein documents would be released, citing the presence of child pornography and sensitive victim information. That decision effectively locked away what some had called the “Epstein client list.”
In response to the report, Trump’s spokesperson called it “fake news,” and Trump now says Bondi never told him his name was in the files—despite confirmation from multiple senior officials that the briefing occurred.
At the same time, the Department of Justice is holding a high-level meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted accomplice. Leading that meeting: Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche—who also happens to be Donald Trump’s personal criminal defense attorney.
Blanche said Trump directed the DOJ to release any credible evidence Maxwell provides. The meeting comes just as the House Oversight Committee prepares subpoenas for Epstein grand jury records. Critics are raising concerns about potential interference, given Blanche’s dual role representing both Trump and the Justice Department in this matter.
Meanwhile, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has accused former President Obama of attempting to sabotage Trump’s presidency. Gabbard has not provided clear evidence to support the claim, and she declined to answer when asked whether her actions were intended to improve her standing with Trump. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, when asked if Trump believes Obama should be arrested, said only that “anyone convicted of crimes should be held accountable.”
That position comes despite Trump’s own lawyers recently arguing before the Supreme Court that presidents should be immune from prosecution for official acts. The Court agreed—suggesting that Obama’s actions, if official, would be protected.
In other news today, Trump said the U.S. has "$17 trillion coming in" over a few months and claimed America "invented everything, and now it's AI.” The total GDP of the United States is approximately $30 trillion annually.
Also on today's show, Congressman Jimmy Gomez from California joins us to discuss ICE raids and immigration enforcement under Trump.
