Good on Newsom for saying ALOUD that we have a real election issue.

It is just astonishing how far off the rails that shit got. But as you say in other news, Kimmel was fantastic and the people have shown themselves to have more power than we might have imagined we do!

As always Trump is a laughable buffoon however a dangerous maniac supported by equally evil self groveling, greedy and power hungry egocentric sycophants. These people all will be the undoing of our country if the remaining Republicans who have any conscience and love for their country fail to stand with the Democrats in Congress to stop their leaders and return this nation to the Democratic bastion it is supposed to be.

My thoughts along the same line. However keep in mind, Trump got elected in large part due to weakness in Dems policies. Coming back to power for open borders, transgenders in womens sports, spoon feeding support to Ukraine to not harm Russia and a bunch of woke BS, will not fix anything.

The only cure is for Repubs to find some courage and impeach him. Lacking that, America needs to stand up and have a recall election. CA removed Gray Davis from office.

Sane, but I question the capable part. Although I voted for her, I did it because T was far worse. While I thought Harris was a decent person, her hyena laugh and gobblygook answers to questions still send shivers down my spine.

Dems please come up with someone else with less baggage. Preferrably not Newsom. He will have to spend all his time defending how he could not improve CA as some kind of model to improve the rest of the US. For example highest cost of living, crime, drugs and homelessness. CA is no model for the US to follow.

He's FAR too rightwing for my tastes! I think Speaker or maybe even VP would be a good fit, as California will ALWAYS have a good American in charge . . . one hopes. 🤞

The world watched as tRump rambled at the UN and was a total embarrassment to US citizens. 77 million voters, voted to take America down.

Absolutely Mr Ugly American in living color. He just confirms the low opinion that much of the world has of America. I do not think he prepares for his speeches. Telling folks at the UN about US internal issues is humiliating. What was the point of him even being there. He just emboldens our enemies who see us as weak with a leader like that.

We do indeed see your country as weak. But the primary reason is because you don't seem to have the strength to do something about your dear leader and the cult he rode in on. SORRY, but that is how you appear.

I was totally embarrassed for our nation and people watching the donald as the representative thereof. He's a total pathological liar pulling numbers and facts out no where with no basis in reality. A self-promoting grifter and a huckster. A mouthpiece for our national corporate monster run amoke. Nay saying climate change and renewable energy sources with bogus phony facts after phony facts, simply to promote his lords and masters, the fossil fuel industries. A true embarrassment.

And this is Wednesday, the week has been exhausting and ridiculous from the regime. Why is there never pushback

Expand full comment
MaryKay's avatar

I think some pushback has started. Obama spoke out. I saw an interview with Hillary Clinton today. She spoke out. The "No Kings" rally numbers continue to grow in attendance. Disney got a big drop in $ after the stifling of Jimmy Kimmel. California announced no more masked ICE people allowed. They be unmasked and have some id. It is slower than I would have thought ...hope abounds.

But OUR pressure has to outweigh Trump's/MAGA's. We need to tell them we have their backs to the extent of blocking Trump's unconstitutional agenda!

"threatening legal action against the network and accusing ABC of favoring Democrats"

Let me get this right.... Fox News and a bunch of other "nit" works are totally devoted to Trump, 24/7. Yet any other network not bowing down to his lowness should be shutdown? How many times is he allowed to cross the Rubicon? We lose freedom of speach we lose everything.

Wakeup America, wake up Supreme Court... he gets immunity for destroying the country? Seriously???? Their jobs are also on the line and I can see layoffs in black robes coming.

Reminder ABC tried to appease Trump for the previous extortion to the tune of $15 million. So that was not enough, next was Colbert and Kimmel. So finally ABC wakes up and realized, the more you give in the worse it gets.

You want proof Trump is insane?

He trothed that Greg Gutfeld (that failed comedian shill) is funnier and better than Kimmel Colbert and Fallon. Really that isn't saying much ... they're not that good but Gutpunch couldn't save his life if he had to joke to do it. I certainly DO NOT watch his drivel but have seen many clips and all it does is roll my eyes and scratch my head. If he were a good comedian he wouldn't be whoring on FOX.

Fox is only comedy central for Repubs. Gutlessfeld is way past pasture time and should be shown the door along with Jesse Waters.
