Today is Friday July 18th, 2025, and this is your news and preview of today's show.

We begin with a notable moment on Fox News. Contributor Jessica Tarlov cited new polling that shows President Donald Trump’s approval ratings on immigration remain deeply negative. Gallup puts the number at minus 27 and CNN at minus 19.

According to ICE records, while arrests have increased — including 30,000 last month — the number of deportations continues to lag behind prior administrations. In June, only 18,000 deportations were carried out. Analysts cite legal backlogs, lack of detention capacity, and expedited removal procedures as contributing factors.

Also today, Donald Trump is responding to renewed attention on the Jeffrey Epstein case. In a lengthy Truth Social post, he claimed the case is part of what he called a series of political hoaxes and criticized some of his own past supporters for engaging with the story. He called them “weaklings” and said he no longer wants their support.

This follows speculation that upcoming document releases could contain Trump’s name. Former White House aide Sarah Matthews said publicly this week that Trump appears to be “panicking.” Trump has previously promised transparency on the Epstein case but now says the public should stop focusing on it.

And finally, a recent interview between Trump and Lara Trump is drawing attention. The conversation featured personal questions about legacy, leadership, and Trump’s time in office. While largely friendly, some unscripted remarks — including comments about women and disaster response — drew criticism after circulating widely online.
