CULT MORONS: Republicans see Trump as more religious than Mitt Romney
Recent polling data reveals the cult-like nature of how Republicans view Trump’s religiosity with more than half of Republicans (53%) considering Donald Trump a person of faith. This puts him ahead of prominent right-wing religious figures like Mitt Romney, Mike Pence, and Ron DeSantis. It's a remarkable development given Trump's history of questionable religious displays and actions, including his inability to correctly identify bible books and passages, frequent mispronunciations of biblical references, and a litany of ethical concerns that have plagued his personal and professional life. This discrepancy raises questions about the ability of some Republican voters to make accurate character judgments and suggests a shift in the Christian right's values to support Trump. The data underscores the challenge of altering Republican voters' perspectives and emphasizes the need for mobilizing a significant voter base to counter their influence in elections.
Lunatic Republican: Automatic voter registration TAKES AWAY people's rights (???)
Republicans, exemplified by figures like Ken Blackwell, have launched a crusade against automatic voter registration, recognizing that getting more people registered will turn out more people to the polls and lessen their chances of winning elections. Blackwell levied a criticism of this process, claiming it diminishes individuals' freedom not to vote. This of course doesn’t make sense, as automatic registration does not compel anyone to vote but merely provides them with the option. Blackwell also argued automatic registration will make voter fraud more likely, but there is zero evidence to support this. The broader issue of Republicans attacking the electoral process, including limiting voting access and imposing voter ID requirements, is clearly a response to their inability to win on policy merits. Despite the commonality of automatic registration in many countries, some Republicans, including former President Trump, have labeled it as an attempt to steal elections, fueling concerns about the state of democracy in the United States. This is why people need to get registered and get out the vote, so there are people in power who can push back against Republican’s authoritarian and undemocratic efforts.

Trump says general should be killed, general now needs security
In a recent interview clip from “60 Minutes,” General Mark Milley, outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, responded to comments by former President Donald Trump, who had suggested that Milley should be executed for treason due to alleged dealings with China. Milley emphasized his unwavering commitment to the Constitution and the military, noting that he and his fellow soldiers remain dedicated to protecting American principles. He stressed that such comments not only target him but also the entire military institution, with over 2.1 million members. Milley also was asked about whether he has concerns for his safety and he responded by saying he has taken security precautions for him and his family. The general also addressed the allegations of inappropriate calls with China, to which he responded with a resolute “none,” underlining the tensions between the former commander-in-chief and his former top military adviser.
From yesterday’s show:
Gavin Newsom shows up to Republican debate, destroys everyone
During the second Republican debate, the Biden campaign enlisted California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom to represent their side in the spin room. Newsom showcased his skill in countering Republican claims, particularly highlighting his expertise on crime rates and job statistics. When confronted with Ron DeSantis's mention of muggings in California, Newsom responded with data, revealing that homicide rates in several Republican-led cities, including Jacksonville and Miami, were significantly higher than those in California. He also debunked the notion that Biden had compromised energy independence, citing facts that energy production had increased under Biden's administration, and the country remained an energy exporter. Newsom continues to impress during these adversarial exchanges, suggesting he has what it takes from a communications standpoint to be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2028.

Milley's "Crime" was speaking to a Chinese official who was terrified that "Trump The Madman" was about to put his finger on the button to nuke China. Milley begged him to trust him that Trump would not do that. Trump was showing himself to be an insane dictator who would take out the world if needed. China was terrified that the world was about to end. When Trump learned of this recently, he accused Milley of being a 'TRAITOR,' when in fact, Milley was saving the world from nuclear annihilation. Trump was so stupid that he had no idea what his behavior had resulted in. What a terrible kick-in-the-pants for Milley's solumn moment of retirement.
