The Senate has never had a Muslim as a member. I hope that El-Sayed in Michigan changes that.

We need America to win this so we can start rebuilding from the damage caused by this corrupt, evil, wasteful, pedophilic, weak, delusional, treasonous, criminal regime of the royal orange crime family. 8647 💙💙💙

For anyone who’s wavering about Susan Collins, did you know this??:

“As Maine Goes, So Goes the Nation”

Is it her or is it me?

I know what bipartisan used to be—

Like for Olympia Snowe it meant

Splitting her votes 60-40 percent.

Way back, Collins voted with Olympia Snowe—

Thirty years, jeezum crow, a long time ago—

But how is she still called a “bipartisan”

While voting with Trump now by 90 to 10?

Actually, 92 percent since his re-election.

If you really want to give it a closer inspection.

So she’s “bipartisan” only as they self-define,

Compared to FIFTY in her party who stay strictly in line.

That’s half of our senators who’ve dared not defy Him,

Whatever His tear-down, war, tariff, ban, invasion, or whim.

But He— and the party— let her be defiant

To placate Maine Dems on whom she’s reliant. . .

Well, up to a point. As long as her vote

Won’t be decisive, won’t rock the Trump boat.

Won’t get in the way of His big beautiful bill,

Which when in committee she had the power to kill.

We can still be grateful for her stands from before-–

We can be grateful to her for those— and so much more.

We can thank her for helping get Gram’s disability. . .

But also for coming cuts to her rural hospital facility.

Cleverly, most cuts don’t come til the new year,

To keep voters from knowing what theirs is to fear.

But, believe it, 31,000 Mainers are about to lose healthcare,

So the top ONE PERCENT can have even more than their share.

Young parents of 7,000 kids have already lost SNAP food aid,

Do you think they can make it on what they get paid?

Gas’s above 4, heating’s 6–even Hamburg is 8–

My God, are they having to put it on a card at these interest rates?!

Cuts to healthcare and insurance will make us ALL sicker—

So how ‘bout some Molsen’s? Got some Moosehead? Or that good Canadian liquor?

If you can even find it by next year, you may need a higher proof,

With medical bills, insurance, inflation, interest rates, rent and groceries going thru the roof!

Might that $2M into her campaign PAC the billionaire paid

Have anything to do with her vote on a big, beautiful bill the NEXT DAY?

She says she brings home the bacon—that she can deliver!

You did get a little bacon—but she sold the pig down the river!

Or after Lockheed showered her with cash for 2 months in ‘23,

Her authorizing, within weeks, at $82M per jet, a purchase of 83?

I’m sure the largest defense contractor in the world appreciated it—

Since the auditor had just found they were 10 years behind and $183B over budget.

Oh, there’s more, but what’s the point? The point is:

Her priorities aren’t yours anymore, they’re His.

Hers was even a crucial vote to block release of the Epstein Files!

What excuse could she have had? Whatever she did later, it’s just vile.

She hasn’t used her power to block his nominees or stop His war,

You know there’s no knowin’, there’s no tellin’, what more is in store.

Not accept election results? More war? It’s not a hard call.

And if you think bacon’s worth it I feel sorry for us all.

A Democratic victory in both chambers would certainly be significant, but I think we’re overlooking a fundamental problem: having the constitutional authority to hold a president accountable is not the same as having the power to enforce it.

Democrats could launch investigations, issue subpoenas, and expose abuses of power. But what happens when the administration refuses to cooperate? The Department of Justice answers to Trump, the Supreme Court has expanded presidential immunity, and key federal institutions are increasingly led by his political loyalists.

Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his willingness to push institutional and legal boundaries.

Winning Congress might slow him down, but will it actually stop him?

The real question isn’t whether American democracy still has checks and balances on paper. It’s whether those checks and balances can still be enforced against a president determined to resist them.

That, to me, is the real test facing American democracy.

I used to live in Texas so Talarico and all the other races. People there are morons. Just vote a party and doesn’t matter if they are good or not.

We need your opinion on the veracity of a post by a woman claiming to be Jane Doe, the person who accused Donald Trump of abusing her when she was a child. She originally posted her accusations on Instagram (@amore.newyork) and they were reposted as a Youtube short by Occupy Democrats late last night. She has taken a huge risk exposing her name and place of business online. If she is telling the truth, her video needs to go viral TODAY.

Being in Tucson, the Joanna Mendoza/Juan Ciscomani race is important to me. I'll see Joanna tonight at La Rosa along with all the other Dems on the ballot. (very excited) It's going to be hard for me to stand for a long period of time since I'll be on my walker and I'm 88. I may not make it to 2028, so it may be my last hurrah. (good lord willing and the creek don't rise) But I'm going, dang it. I want to shake some hands.
