My initial thought was the following : that we now live in a society where govt’s can cosplay these safety scenarios to gain public empathy and distract from whatever turmoil they have created. The Secret Service snipers would have to be told to allow the guy three shots before taking him out. That goes against all their training.

These people never seem to mention the fact that there were eight gunshots from the shooter - somebody died, 2 were critically injured, and that the activity could’ve endangered anyone in attendance.
